We Sold Our Chevy Silverado ZR2 A LOT Earlier Than Expected! Can You Guess Our Next Truck? 

I have been on you tube since 2007 I have seen growth I have seen failure. You guys have grown into such an excellent channel. From an car/ truck enthusiast always looking at auto reviews you guys always deliver in a genuine honest way. It is much appreciated.

Just bought a Zr2 yesterday. I've been wanting one since it was announced. Waited 5 months for delivery and wound up buying one off the lot about 200 miles away. I bought it for the new interior and new blue color, the blue is amazing. I had a 21 Trail boss 6.2 for 18 months and 26k with no issues.

Hummer EV is coming to the TFL fleet. I'm sure they "accidentally" leaked that info already. Reviewing vehicles that start in the 6 figures is kind of a waste of time. Those who can afford them will never use them for the capabilities they have. More "No Payment Needed" series please. The next installment "Van Life" .

Can’t complain about fuel economy then ask for 35 inch wheels.

I had really hoped for more direct off road comparison videos with the Tremor F150, Tundra, and the Ram Rebel. I feel you guys really missed the boat with this truck. You used to do a lot of 3 way comparison videos, not one was done with this truck. Really disappointing in how TFL covered this truck. The channel has been lacking good comparison videos.

Well, I have a feeling that you guys will be going for a Raptor R, but I'd personally love to see a long term (3 month at least) F-150 Tremor. I feel like you guys didn't fully take advantage of the review truck when you had it. I'd also love to see an HD truck at some point.

You guys really let me down with the Silverado Zr2. I really had hoped y’all would’ve did a long term review on it. I was really in the market and your opinions mean the world to me

6:15 Skrew the straps n stuff. You guys need the Pit Bull. I just push my bike up into it and it locks it in place to the forks. There is no risk of crushing your forks, no risk of the bike not being attached. And it looks like the bikes are just magically standing up on your bed or trailer. I love it.

If its another boring electric truck then you'll be one subscriber short. I left Motortrend for the same reason.

Have to say other then the interior the ZR2 still leaves stuff on table. Like unique engine , fenders and 35s. I like the idea but it’s like they half assed it

To me this just tells you how underwhelming this pickup is. They had Raptors for a long time and same thing with the TRX. This is basically another Silverado with a couple lockers that very few people will ever use.

I never had any real interest in this truck. To be honest, I will probably never buy a truck that is anywhere near as expensive as this truck. So when I watch videos of the expensive trucks it's the "what would I get if I won the lottery" scenario. This wouldn't even be on the list and when you mentioned Chevy was going to start charging a monthly fee for some options on the truck I really lost interest. Looking forward to the next truck. Thanks guys

You guys should review and test the f350 with the 6.2/ 10 speed setup. I think that's the only configuration out of the heavy duty lineup that you haven't tested or reviewed

Everyone complaining about the ZR2, as usual. Its not Raptor or a TRX and it wasn't designed to be. If you pay attention, the new Colorado has addressed basically all the off reading shortcomings that you guys are bitching about such as larger wheel well openings for larger tires, different rear shock mount locations underneath to increase clearance (watch the promo videos and you'll notice), and significant increases in ride height. Don't you guys think this is going to trickle over to the Silverado and Tahoe? Of course it will, on the next update. Chill out with the constant complaining, the trucks available these days are pretty damn impressive

I really wish GM (Chevy) would get their act together - this ZR2 is another example of good ideas, but compromised engineering/build. The shocks placement is one, the design of the hood with the funky large plastic cover, the suspension design (basically just a simple lift), the exhaust system (great sound and effective - but the view underneath it is very close to things that should not get too hot) and finally have you ever looked at the placement of critical electrical and brake lines (instead of hidden behind the axle, or well inside the frame high away from stuff - like Ram, Toyota and Ford - they are on top or in front of just looking for a rock or limb to snag and cause more trouble) the GM solution is keep in the same place and cover with plastic cladding ... I mean RAM and Ford have TRX and Raptor and both are really competent and capable - Jeep and Ford have "Jeep" and Bronco, again competent and capable. I truly wonder if GM even pays attention to this end of the truck market? They have nothing competitive to offer ...

Yes, seats are important! My 2016 Colorado does NOT have good seats. After about 2-3 hours, my butt is hurting. I wasn't planning to do it; but, I added seat covers (Wet Okole) to add some additional padding to the seat which did help.

Gm really upped the game on reliability and costumer satisfaction ( kbb and jdp ) give gm high scores also ! Now all gm needs now is micro chips

If all the clues points to the GMC Hummer EV truck, then I’m happy. Still wish they kept the ZR2 and simply sold the Bronco.

The problem with the ZR2 is that it has the wrong engine. It should have an LT4. Or at least offer it with the “Bison” I do love the seats and suspension in the ZR2, but opted to go with a loaded Trail Boss with the Duramax instead.

SVT Raptor R?

Curious how much of a financial hit they take everytime they sell so quickly? Vehicles typically depreciate up to 20% once you drive off the lot. I’m sure they’ve gotten lucky with some sells like trx.

Chevy had a chance with the Blazer but turned it into a mini van. Maybe we will get a H3T with a proper V8 and a good transmission but I'm not holding my breath

Although I don’t think the Raptor R will be out anytime soon. I think that’s what they will be getting. Which to be honest is probably going to be the best truck, even better that the TRX.

GM doesn't listen to it's customers. I have never heard "I love GM's square wheel openings". If they would follow ram and Ford and make the wheel wells more round, they would get more customers. You wouldn't need a 6 inch lift to accommodate tires that other trucks could run in stock form.

Sold it because when I comes down to it its a trail boss. RU-vidrs that own these and modify them all say the should have just bought a trail boss and saved money basically the same parts. Plus the views on these trucks suck for youtubers they all say no views for these trucks.

I thought I wanted a Zr2. Now I'm glad I waited, there are more used Zr2's for sale than new. No one seems to be retaining them and the used ones are being sold higher than new ones. The new LZ0 Durmax is the direction I'm going. Just waiting to compare it to the L-6.

As long as they don't get a Tremor V8 or a Raptor R. The Tremor is essentially Siverado ZR2 and the Raptor R is essentially a TRX or Raptor with more power. I hope they look at an electric vehicle, or any of the new midsize trucks as long as they have a different engine. Its gotten to the point where we can pretty much predict how the usual barrage of tests go here so unless its something different it tends to get boring. Everyone saw what the TRX did and the Raptor R will be pretty much the same. Everyone saw what the Silverado ZR2 did so the Tremor V8 will essentially be the same. The F150 hybrid and the Lightning were very interesting and different even if it was painful to watch Roman complain every time he has to charge an electric vehicle. By now we all know the trails and tribulations of electric charging and its time to move on. Even the Bronco Raptor doesn't really fit well with their usual tests and though it would get reasonable viewing numbers, its not going to surprise anyone. My hope is that it will be some surprise hybrid or EV. I know many of the expected vehicle aren't in production yet but they may have access to pre-production ones. I like it when some surprises are revealed. For instance, the hybrid Maverick gets amazing gas milage and can easily beat the EPA rating, but did you know the milage falls drastically when its really hot? I didn't know that. I knew about cold weather but didn't think it would have that much of an effect in hot weather. I was surprised that switching to an AT tire on an EV truck didn't affect the range as much as expected. It affected my FJ Cruiser more and you just have to look at what it does the EPA rating for some specialized off-road pickups. Remember the RAM Rebel or the Colorado ZR2? Right now it would be nice to see how manufacturers will respond to the ridiculous gas prices. We are certainly reaching a point where milage is the most important criteria as well as price. I know the manufacturers like the high profit loaded models but the Maverick has shown that a good vehicle at a reasonable price can also sell well.

Well congrats on getting a new truck! Almost feels like I'm playing catch up with the videos to see the new content before you trade it away, but that's on me! Looking forward to the vehicles that TFL is getting.

Lol I remember when the Tundra was sold after having it for almost a year and people were saying tfl sold the truck because it was horrible. I wonder what these same people will say after the chevy was sold so fast.

There just getting out from under the truck because it's not very special its and also before it has any problems with the engine that have been showing up that has GM in a class action lawsuit for.

35 's are overrated. People are so hung up about them, and they matter so little. We've seen this truck over and over again on many channels, and including my own experience rock crawling and on the dunes. They do everything the other trucks do (including tighter trails because the other ones are too wide. People really gotta get over something that isn't that important.

They are going to a GM dealership so guessing either an electric Blazer or Hummer.

Lord help this guy! As long as he had the TRX, as many times as he stated the specs, he just gave the wrong horse power rating on it! I'm older then him. I've never owned a TRX. But I can remember that it has 702 HP not 707! Tommy...... Start looking for a good assisted living facility for your dad. Soon he's gonna be like.... "The truck has, ahhh, it has, you know, the thing"!

Because ZR2 has been a blip on the radar compared to competitors' trucks. Nobody cares about ZR2 with the TRX and Raptor R on the market.
