Execution is amazing. My hair keeps getting caught on the wrong side for the eyepatch. It’s like the wrong stitch in a blanket. But this gives me so many ideas on how to gradually improve my Uwowo bought cosplay.
Your big projects always make me want to make some cosplay, but then I remember how much time and effort it takes. ;) I'm sure I'll find a character that inspires me enough eventually, though. :D
THIS WAS SO COOL!!! OH MY GOD!! I am so happy to see someone making Beidou cosplay? She's my absolute favourite character and seeing such a detailed cosplay is amazing? That must have taken forever. Thank you so much for blessing us with your hard work
Thank you for another in depth crafting video! I enjoy these way more than your shorts. Also, as a cosplayer whose strength actually is sewing, it made me so happy to see you use proper fabric glue and not hot glue. ;)
Honestly, you admitting what your faults are isn’t admission of weakness. Having read your books on foam creations, it is persistence that really matters!
I love the details, but is it okay for me to tell you that you have a miror effect on the face (red eye) and hairs ? when put next to the picture ? anyway, it is Beidou ! Love your job !
I must say; for someone whose strength is not sewing, this is AMAZING. Typically, you would put the right side of the lining against the right side of the outer fabric and machine see them together and leave a bit open so you can flip right side out. You would then either hand sew a very small section (like a few inches long) or top-stitch it closed. The way you did it is perfectly valid and, in fact, is a much more professional way of doing it, lol 😅! It's much more difficult than the more common method. So major props for putting on that kind of effort. That being said, I think you may need to rethink this notion that you're no good at seeing 😉. You may not prefer the method, but but you're definitely highly skilled at it. Also, the draping 👀. I know you've basically been doing tight draping (when you draw your patterns on tape), but the way you did the coat is a skill that many seamstresses have not mastered, or even considered, lol 😅! Take this from someone who taught himself to sew in high school and took Fashion Design in college and went on to make my own business sewing costumes 😉. You may not have much experience, but you DO have skill in the field of sewing 😊!
Just, wow. As a Beidou main and a huge fan, I was so happy to see you make this outfit! I'm an artist and I once drew Beidou with this whole outfit and the Blackcliff Slasher, which took over 30 hours. I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of work that went into recreating the whole thing in real life! Genshin's character designs are so crazy complex. Even the simpler ones like Beidou has a crazy amount of details. I appreciate you recreating every detail faithfully!
12:15 Denise Winter using Lego to form the frame for the pour cast mold for the vision is a game changer! It may not be the first time it was done, but it's the first I'd seen it. Very clever.
Definitely seems to be time-consuming, but the end product was so great. It was nice to see that even her, a pro, asks for help on certain areas where she knows she doesn't excel. Makes a newbie like me feel at ease that asking for help is a strength in itself
The cosplay looks sooo amazing! I love how you showed how you thoroughly worked on every single detail with the costume! Keep up the great work Svetlana 🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I just wanted to thank Svetlana and Benni for inspiring us all these years. Because of their youtube videos, tutorials and other content on social media I decided to make my very first armor. It would be awesome if you make another genshin cosplay♥️
I just have to say this video format is absolutely top notch!! It felt easy to follow along, not too rushed but didn't drag on and on. As well as felt really personal and like we were having a cosplay crafting day together and I LOVED THAT. I hope more videos come out like this in the future because this was amazing 👏 🙌 ❤️❤️❤️
This video highlights all the work that goes into building a cosplay from the ground up and it's beautiful! The cosplay is beautiful too. Also, resin printers are just so wonderful. :D!
Ph my goodness was absolutely wonderful!! The amount of detail from the stockings to the hairpin had me in complete shock!! I learned a lot of different things that will hopefully help me with my future cosplays!!
This is so amasing! There i soo much detail! One thing isn't the earing suppose to be on the right ear? I love your amasing costumes, props and what you do in general!
#KamuiCosplay I'm very impressed with this great result! Stunning and beautiful. Hard work, dedication, patience and great tools... a good cocktail for your amazing and detailed crafts! I'm in love with it! All the best and I follow you!
Aaaaah all the sewing!! OMG! I watched this video because I want to do a certain Cosplay that needs a lot of sewing too. And I was afraiiiid af! But now I feel more motivated. And there were many helpful tipps in this video. Your Beidou really turnded out amazing! Thank you!
Amazing cosplay! I really appreciate your use of fake leather and fur. I am a person who tries not to use leather and fur and sometimes that can make finding materials difficult
I have a laser cutter but not sure if mine will do fabric..... Guess there's only one way to find out! Also evertime I watch this I have to tell myself I don't need a 3D printer. Amazing work as usual. I find when I lack cosplay motivation I watch your vids and I'm ready to go again. Usually when my household are asleep.
Que dedicación para hacer un cosplay la verdad que da gusto ver que todavía hay gente que se esfuerza y no solo se pone la peluca y una tanga para decir miren es mi cosplay
I thought it was strange too, and even weirder that none of the top comments seemed to point it out. It seemed more obvious of a detail than the closed back Svetlana explained earlier, and I don't believe she explained the eyepatch at all.
Your techniques and workmanship is amazing!!! So clean and beautiful. Your cosplay is flawless so much work. You should be very proud of all the work you do and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us and make these videos.
Ok, confession. I didn't "watch" most of this. I just listened while I worked ...Svetlana's accent and diction are so cute! I could listen to her all day. Finished product is very good though!!!!
I am so pleased with the outcome and I'm so happy with the materials that she used because it makes her look like she's in the game! I've never seen someone pull it off so well
Ficou bem identico, trabalho fantástico. Uma diferença, o pingente do cabelo e o tapa olho, ficou ao contrário do original, más, não perdeu o brio. Parabéns
Beautiful work as always! And for someone who worries about the skill of her sewing, you seem to have done exceedingly well! Congrats! I am a bit curious, though, if the mirroring of the wig/eyepatch was a deliberate choice for some reason or other? Or did the reference images just get switched around at some point?
On her instagram she mentioned that she asked permission from the studio to switch it over, as it would have covered her good eye. This way it is easier for her to see. :)
Your cosplay turned out sooo amazing! Both of you did an amazing job 💯 it was so cool to see the process along the way too. I’d totally love if you did more collabs with them pls Hoyoverse 😭😭
What a good cosplay, you did the outfit nicely and had a friend who help you with the vision. The detail is really accurate + the Black Cliff slasher is a nice add on. Well done on the cosplay overall
I love your work!!! It looked really amazing 😁 Beidou is my favorite character in the game and I want to cosplay her too but in a male version based on a fanmade drawing that I found and I loved it… but I couldn't find patterns for the capelet so now I'm trying to use your video as a guide to make it 😁
500 hours? I'm not a cosplay person, but that sounds like a lot. At least you chose the right Genshin character to do it, though. Her name is Bae-dou for a reason. Also, yay primogems! Would like to see how the Slasher came to be.
I really don't know anything about genshin impact except Raiden. But just hearing that Beidou is a pirate captain and you love ships and I'm a huge pirate fan. I love Beidou already. 🏴☠️💜
I'm always amazed by the ability of cosplayers to completely transform themselves into toally different people. And the process behind making those costumes is equally amazing.
