Bryson Dechambeau, major champion and the most recent golfer to shoot 58, stated in an interview that in order to train yourself to shoot lower scores, you need to play the front tees and put yourself in as many scoring positions as possible. Six under is realistic for Bryson, but very aggressive for most of us. Just gotta keep after it and make smart swings to good targets and let the birdies come naturally. But how often have you shot 3 under? The whole point is getting comfortable with 3, 4 or 5 under.

He was giving that advice for kids and teens playing the game.

I agree he was speaking to junior golfers in that interview, but I think anyone can use this advice if they want to be more comfortable in scoring positions.

@lateralhazardgolf they could, yes. I think the white tees are a good starting point for adults. I see a lot of players playing from the blue tees that really should not be. They can not hit greens on par 3s or fairways from 4s and 5s. But they play the blues trying to impress their buddies.
