I get that she might've been too tired to read the sign, but if it's YOUR apartment, wouldn't you have seen the sign at some point while you lived there?
that guy is weird, you cant bring your new boyfriend around our horse ? WEIRD. he is clearly jealous and controlling....if he loved the horse as much as he claims he would let her come with who ever as long as the horse was taken care of that should be all that matters & then saying she HAS to come alone after acting that way towards her ... just screams jealously . Dont feel like she is wrong at all, she stopped coming over because of the stipulations he implemented.
