So as a fan of hip hop I watched a documentary on Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine titled "The Defiant Ones" and in the documentary Jimmy explained that it was actually Interscope records who gave the bail money for Tupac to Suge as a result of not wanting their brand to be directly associated or further affiliated with Tupac's due to his constant portrayals of negativity in the media. The irony of them hiring bands such as for example a group called "9 inch nails" and other bad boy rock bands of the 90's only to turn away from little old Tupac Shakur who was only one man due to his bad boy image and rebellious nature, I don't believe that they fully understood his direction as he was the bad boy on one hand and yet also a prophet on the other hand so he's playing into the image of a rebel all while feeding a generation of black kids hope. He truly was an upset to THE ESTABLISHED ORDER of things. Which is why a majority of the investors over at Interscope didn't want to be involved with him and also they weren't exactly fans of rap either. Rumor has it that it was the president of Interscope's own young daughter who took a listen to some of Pac's music and she vouched for it campaigning to her dear old dad to invest in the new up and coming conscious rapper.
