Cody seems more social and not as quite when he first started riding with you, this is one of many reasons I appreciate what you do Adam, not only are motorcycles therapy but you are therapy for all these men and touch there lives in such a special way, your a great man Adam and thanks for all your doing!👍😎🇺🇸
If your pipes are dragging in the turns you might want check to see if your rear shocks are adequately pumped up with enough air. It’s easy to forget that the Indians have an adjustable air suspension for rear shocks!👍
Cody definitely seemed to open up more as the trip went on. That is a testament to the positive impact riding has on everyone but specifically these brave men and women. It is also an affirmation, in my humble opinion, of the positive impact you are having on these guys. I am so proud to be an American and have Americans like this working so hard to bring some joy and happiness to those who deserve it most! Love this stuff man..
@@adamsandoval Gracias Señor Sandoval Bring him to Arkansas Guaranteed to have him grinning! I'm preaching to the choir, you know the deal. I need to get to Moyer's and do some grinning myself...
Myself and the wife rode the whole parkway last year on my 18 Heritage classic. Truly loved the trip. We are from Western NC so get to enjoy the parkway all the time. It never gets old riding it.
I love that Adam is not just another hype man but a true brother. I'm an army vet for ten years so far and still running strong, keep doing what you're doing bro. Its appreciated.
Hey Adam. Love the videos. I just started watching you since I just bought my first road bike in my life. I'm 66. Got a 04 Heritage Softail. I've lived in Mil. Wi. Area most of my life. So it's about time, hey. I'm hooked, should have gotten one 50yrs ago. Like you I'm not a vet but appreciate their sacrifice. One thing about the vets. When you ride with them would love to here their military experience.
Great video, guys! I just bought a 2019 Heritage in wicked red for my first Harley after having ridden Yamaha and Honda for about 35 years. Beautiful scenery--Thanks for the video! 😎👍
I don't comment often... but love your vetran friend... I could make a TV show outa a guy like that.. it's a special kind of fun and vision inside a brother like him... that's a great experience... good deal on u both
Cody, just get a taller windshield with a vent. It'll eliminate the buffeting and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than a bagger. And when it's hot and you just want to putt around and cool off, you can pop it right off.
Stick with Harley brother get a nice street glid. They are nice in town and on the highway and the F11 will keep your bike looking new at all times and glad Cody is enjoying the trip
Thanks for all you do Adam! About your muffler dragging, you will need to adjust your shock with the little mini pump that comes with your bike. In your owners manual there’s a chart that corresponds with the amount of pounds you have on the bike. It’s really simple to do and I guarantee you the muffler won’t drag and the ride is even better. Keep the rubber side down!
Just a suggestion... try to increase the air in your shock. I forgot to do it on my last 4 day trip and dragged a little riding in the Adirondacks. I stopped and increased the air and had no further dragging.
I have ridden the Blue Ridge parkway and it is awesome except for when there are slow moving cars. I think Cody is having a great time and that's what it's all about. Your videos brought back some great memories for me. Thanks Adam and Cody Ride safe.
Marv from Indiana. Ride on Brothers! Wish I was there! Thank you Cody for your service! I rode Fat Boy! It was fast and fun to ride! I ride a bagger now! Keep doin what you do Adam! Its Awsome!
I swapped with a Darkhorse 116 the other night. Very different I enjoyed it. Liked the adjustable windshield and the bike had good power. It is big & heavy but surprisingly does not feel that heavy lol accept in the gravel parking lot. I have a 19 HD Sport Glide with tall vented Gustafson windshield & lowers. Without the vent & lowers it would buffet air so I see the value in an adjustable windscreen. My SG is lighter nimbler and faster because of my motor mods. Nonetheless I was impressed with the Darkhorse & the motor. I’m not brand blind or fanboy and get tired of those that are in both camps. Mostly I’m just glad that there is competition in the marketplace.
No dirt. GEEZE I can clean mine and by the time I'm done the front is dusty again. But it is gloss black. cody does se be feein up a bit. Hope enjoys himself.
Cody is really coming out of his shell. If you guys make it down the Blue Ridge Pkwy near Roanoke, VA, let me know. I would love to jump on and ride with you guys. Keep posting. Looks fun.
Having ridden dozens of both, out of the entire line up the Chieftain is the best bagger I've ever ridden from any company. Not the most of anything, but the best of everything, especially its sport-touring levels of cornering stability.
Love the Blue Ridge Parkway, My first Harley was a Fatboy, Love My '18 Road Glide Special. Mine's the 107, but still Love it.Great Video, Semper Fi Cody
Hi Adam, great videos ....can you do a video, that covers your gear like clothes when u travel, first aid kit and anything else u carry on the long rides like this one
What you pack is really personal preference since space is so limited. Here's a video youll find interesting ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KTUy8HYxs3g.html
Cody, I also have a 2018 FLHC and may have an answer to the wind buffeting you're experiencing. I'm more or less the same height & stature as you, and I bought the Harley fork fangs, because the tremendous buffeting was literally giving me double vision and a headache while riding. The fangs solved about 70% of the problem, but I still had enough buffeting on long rides to get irritated by it. A month ago I purchased a "Clearview Shield" that completely eliminated the remaining buffeting, and it is the best aftermarket purchase I have made. Like the stock windshield, my new windshield is blacked out on the bottom half, and is about a half inch taller. However, it is thicker, it has a virtually unnoticeable "recurve" along the top edge, and it has a vent. The vent is the key. The buffeting returns if I either shut the vent or completely open it. However, when I partially open it, a quite forceful flow of air goes up the back side of the shield and eliminates the buffeting. I am not connected to Clearview Shields in any way, but a very satisfied customer after taking a 1,400 mile trip last weekend. Also, is that driver backrest with your stock seats? If so, where can I get one?
I didn't get to ride as much as I would've liked but the blue ridge where I did ride was so awsome the week before last. Was a very relaxing ride compared to other roads. My friends were more interested in the dragon and some of the more hairy roads to ride like the devils drop hwy 151.
Bro, gotta get you up to Anchorage, AK with a few Vets, maybe Freddie, Cody, and your D&D Exhaust buddy, and ride north thru Denali National Park, and on to the north shore of Alaska to Prudhoe Bay where the road simply ends!
Guys yall roll right through my home town. The parkway is definitely a beautiful ride. I also agree that Cody's softail is a pretty bike. I will stay black in color though with my 17 sgs. Stay safe. From Ricky Helvey
Adam, Love this and all your videos. Sounds like you need to put some more air-pressure in the rear shock of you Indian Chieftain - that will eliminate scraping your exhaust pipes in the curves and increase cornering performance.
Hey Adam and Cody. Love this series btw, especially as the owner of a 2018 Heritage Classic myself. At 6'3" tall, the stock windscreen was useless so i upgraded to a 22" dark tinted shield with the aero-curve and it's simply amazing the difference it makes. I have a couple of vids of it on my channel if you want to check it out. I think I paid about $160 for the shield and that's a hell of a lot less than a fairing and maintains the classic retro look of the Heritage.
Cody, not an advertisement, but I have an ‘18 Heritage and I got myself a Longrider Shield windscreen. Cut down on the buffeting big time. Look ‘em up. How did you like them bars on Adam’s Indian?
@@the_luki I agree but unfortunately 2020 models are in mid production and hit the showrooms in August. but yes...IF THEY CAN MAKE AN ELECTRIC CYCLE, THEY CAN MAKE ADJUSTABLE WINDSHIELDS! LOL
Where yall traded bikes was at my favorite place to get a burger, Fatback Soul Shack in Christiansburg Va. I work right down the road. Thought I recognized the background. Lol
Awesome ride. I know Cody liked riding that INdian. I remember when I went from my Road King to my Ultra Ltd the weight of the fairing was something to get used to (unlike your road glide where the fairing is permanently mounted. Is the Indian fairing on the frame or handlebars. That extra 100 pounds between the RK and the Ultra was substantial at first. Now I don't notice it.
I believe yall both have sold me on buying one those Indian cheiftains sweet looking bike. Awesome setup you got on yours, also love the channel and love all you do for vets!!
Super nice Adam that you let him take a test ride. Cody was grinning ear to ear!! He's going to want to trade up now. Once you ride with a fairing its super hard to ever go back without one. Makes riding so much more enjoyable! Great video and love the scenery.
Adam good video. Was curious why you haven't mentioned the nightmare with the vet bikers. What are you thinking of doing for these families. They need help from all around.
