true , bread is essentially flour, yeast, salt and water. However some store bread does have additives derived from dairy. Most don't but I guess for her starting out it was hard to tell.

Just for a future reference for anyone wanting vegan chocolate “croissants,” pillsbury crescent rolls are vegan and I just roll in some vegan chocolate chips (with a little raspberry jam sometimes) when assembling them and cook normally and they taste great!

Of course it was expensive, all you bought was fancy produce, vegan replacement foods, and pre-packaged meals! This is such a common mistake when going vegan, but in reality your grocery bill could actually be way lower than your omnivore grocery bill

Hannahh Is Weird learn to cook. It can be expensive initially to get the basics like all the spices, beans, rice, oils etc but once you’re stocked your grocery bills will be much cheaper.

MerryRose Howley oh no. It depends on where your from, I’m Canadian, ruralish, and fruit and veg costs a small fortune. A bag of spinach is 4 or 5 bucks to give one example.

I tried the 7 day vegan challenge 8 months ago....and the 7 days never ended😂 After I saw how easy it was and I knew I could be healthy on a vegan diet I just carried on and 7 days turned in to months which will probably turn in to my entire life, I can’t imagine going back! Loved this video and how open minded you and your kids were!💕

i can’t believe she used a combination between soy cream and coconut cream in her coffee , there is so many wide choices for plant-based milk/creamer and for coffee soy and coconut isn’t the best i recommend using a homemade cashew milk which is the best for coffee or a stored oat milk or rice milk .

I don’t know where you found the “vegan bread” but most bread is already vegan. I literally buy the normal Kroger brand for $1 and it says vegan right on the back.

I feel like there’s such a misconception about how expensive it is to be vegan. It might seem more expensive at first because people tend to go crazy and get all of the super expensive organic healthy stuff, but I have saved so much money being vegan. Don’t know what it’s like in other countries but in Canada meat is expensive and as a student in university right now being vegan has helped me save a whole lot of money.

lot of it depends on where you live I live Where the land is either prairie or desert, not good for crowing crops, good for grazing cattle. Which means all produce is shipped in from distances and is either expensive or bad quality. Veganism is just not a financial possibility for me where I live. unless I eat nothing but cheap dried beans for every meal. The important thing to remember is that prices of foods differ greatly all over. an what is possible for you might not be for others, Like I cannot afford an extra 50$ a week in my grocery budget, so I eat a lot of chicken.
