The blind taste test is my favorite because it humbles them and everybody is fair all the way across the board.

I absolutely agree. I think the other types are just ways to be sure that you win. The scores are much lower and far more biased. To me the scores reflect that of a person that can't cook at all as opposed to some seasoned cook that feeds generations of people who love the dish. This way, human nature gets out of the way and a more careful assessment is done.

@chesca7295 I think it was the extra egg and the extra sugar he used? Brownies are fickle you add or remove an ingredient you can take it from brownie to cookie or fudge real easy. Lol I honestly don't know how he could've fixed it besides starting over.

I think you shouldn’t take the blind fold off until the very end so they can’t guess and give themselves higher scores. By the very last person, they typically know which is theirs and May rate themselves higher.

great episode!!!! i feel like, we should get their rating for the video, but their rating shouldn't get counted into the total points. because i could totally see some contestants gamifying the system and figuring out which dish is theirs and then giving themselves a 10 just because. e.g. if i know the 2 previous dishes were not mine after i took my blindfold off, i know for sure the third one will be mine, and i can just give myself a 10 or be biased into giving myself a higher score. props to the new brownie guy for not doing that though cos he seemed to have given himself a fair rating.
