Lots of foreigners first time in China. They're surprised how safe, friendly, delicious food, culture, transportation, many automobiles electric, street very quiet, clean roads or streets, not crowded, lots of parks very green and phone payments every part of city. Most of them say futuristic cities and everything automation.Even women can go out late at night without fear of being robbed or shot.I would even be bold enough to say that the major cities in China are now overall cleaner looking than the major cities in the US.The China described by the Western media is completely different from the real China you see.Recently, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to ban TIKTOK. Because TIKTOK belongs to China.
Started in China, managed by a Singaporean, partly owned by Americans. Now you know why the Americans want to sell/buy Tik Tok and acquire its technology. Make a profit and have it fully owned by Americans. Who stands to gain? Who is behind this robbery. Schmucks.
@@7212372frank parent company in China, U.S. Congress is preparing to force TikTok’s parent company ByteDance to sell TikTok, but Chinese law prohibits the export of program algorithms, so it is equivalent to the U.S. Congress banning TikTok,
The police are here to keep order since there are so many people that a stampede could easily occur. There are also Chinese audio instructions on which aisle to go if you want to see the light show. Some subway entrances have also been changed to allow only exit but no entry.
Generally speaking, it is likely to be 19:30, 20:30, and 21:30 on weekends and holidays. The time can be checked on the WeChat official account of the shenzhen government.
Every Friday and Saturday (except those involving statutory holidays), statutory holidays (including New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, except Ching Ming Festival) and the day before, turn on night lights with animation effects. Light up three times a day for about 15 minutes each time. The lighting time in winter and spring (November to March of the following year) is 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00. The lighting time in summer and autumn (April to October) is 19:30, 20:30 and 21:30.@@oxoelfoxo
Chinese morning tea is very healthy, which is why people are not obese. The fluffy deep-fried dough sticks should be matched with soybean milk. There are many styles of Dim sum, more than 100 kinds. You can eat different ones every time.
I rarely have time to eat breakfast, which is moderate to fatty liver. Every time I lose weight, I do n’t know how to achieve success in weight loss. Every time I fail.
I super duper enjoyed watching this!! Frackin epic 57 mins long vid-jah! haha Shenzhen is frackin cool. The lit up buildings were spectacular! Great shenzhen experoence you had there! Epic!
And all thanks to the very short history of Shenzhen. It extremely new, and extremely rich, so the development of the city was up to date, up to trend, very fitting to modern city plan theory. Whereas in Guangzhou, as well as basically every major city in China and they all have thousands of years of history, too many enlisted architectures, old roads to be protected, so there will always be lots of history there, whereas Shenzhen can just go ahead and be the future
It is nice and touching to see all the familiar streets and food and everything. Really glad you guys love my city, could not be more proud of it. And hope you guys enjoying the staying in shenzhen, in China. Stay safe and mostly importantly, have tons of FUN!!!!!!
Shenzhen is the home of Huawei, BYD, DJL, Tencent and many other tech giants. It’s even more impressive that it was just a small unknown village 40 yrs ago.
That's not necesarily true... The region had 300k population before it became a SEZ, and Bao'an county was part of the train network since late Qing dynasty, it also served as a gateway between Hong Kong and in-land regions of China since then. The sayings about a fishing village is very popular and even locals believe so, but it's just... not the thing :(
Haha it made me laugh when you guys are at the park doing exercise! Yes, every city in China has many parks around their neighbourhood for people to chill, running or dance at night, Nice BG music and edited, we like your videos, thank you for letting us know the current Shenzhen city views. Good work!
You guys should have ripped the you tiao (fried dough stick) and added to the congee. Also you don't just order congee by itself usally you have sides with it, like pickled vegetables, different types of eggs ( century eggs, tea eggs or fivespices eggs)
The reason why most of the subway machines have stopped is because very few people in Shenzhen now use them, and they basically use their mobile phones to enter the station directly. Guangzhou is a city with a large number of elderly people, so it still retains most of the traditional ways~
China has everything you need, with countless beautiful places to explore beyond just the famous attractions. There are endless activities to enjoy, ensuring you'll never get bored even after years of living here. Safety is a top priority, and I've never felt afraid, even when out alone late at night. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
You over estimated the value and prestige of foreign tourists to China. Sure, it welcomes foreign tourists as much as possible but it does not bend its rules just to please foreigners. In other words, the police won't and need not be told to let the tourists film anything they like. The fact is the vast majority of Chinese are so numb to being filmed and don't really care as long as you exercise basic courtesy and respect common space. If you were to go to sensitive areas like customs and security checks areas in airports or some military sensitive areas, no one would allow you to film even if you are a foreign tourist. Hope you can check out all the cool IT features of Shenzhen like ordering food and have it delivered via drones or driverless taxis and buses etc.
This kind of Cantonese light rice congee is a very healthy and nutritious food for sick patients and everybody else. It's something like chicken soup for cold and flu patient.
when ever you order food in an Asian country, you should ask the waitress the best way to enjoy the food, because many dishes come with condiments. Either dipping it in the sauce or mixing it in the dish. I enjoyed watching your journey, and thank you for sharing. 🙏🏻
fun fact: in 1979 there were only 300,000 people in shenzhen; today, there are 18 million people from all over the country. that is why there is a saying in shenzhen: if you come, you are a shenzhener!

we eat congee when we want something plain with less flavor, like for breakfast or when we have bad stomach or hangover. That’s why it doesn’t have much flavor. It’s a comforting food.
Very true, in fact, most sea shore in China is brown, coz the continent shelf usually extends long into the shore, making the shore shallow and muddy. But if you go further west from the bay in the vid, there will be the only massive and continuous clear and beachy sea line in mainland China, a part of it is natually covered with silver coloured sand
@@sigmalew6651I had it maybe once and I thought it was boiled fish instead of braised fish because I remember the water was boiling really hard and there was a lot of steam. It should be in a Yunnan restaurant. But you could be right, I could be wrong, or there could be a different cooking method. I'll try it again next time I'm in China to confirm.
@@boyuanzhang-w8z Thank you for the info. In that case, you might not be wrong. There is indeed a famous and popular dish called water boil fish. If that was the case, do you remember if there were lots of red pepper and Sichuan peppercorn floating on the 'water'? If so, it is water boil fish, however, that's actually not water, it's veg oil, the whole pot. But the clay pot shown in the video is definitely not that one, it should be a very brown broth/sauce in it, so it's braised, the way like most Chinese fish dish which are normally cooked or presented in a big pot or bowl.
I like your guys' channel very much. There is no bias, no politics, no flattery. Just enjoying your own travel, plus some funny and cold jokes, making people smile, very interesting style.
The popcorn machine did not have enough stock, so they were making more. It says, the regular order waiting time is 1m, but the stock replenishment time 20m. So I think your popcorn would have been ready in 20m.
The green line was closed early because there is a new line under construction that needs to be connected to which subway station you want to take. The government posted notices on the subway well in advance this month. I'm sorry that this happened to you.
When he ran up the stairs scared me lol, great video, love that you guys are not all the time serious, makes it fun to watch when ur full of energy, great video😊😊😊
Your view of that clump of buildings in HK is probably Tin Shui Wah town. It's one of several clumps of residential "new towns" in HK. The Wetlands Park is there which is quite nice but that's about it.
normally we eat congee and it's not salty enough, we normally put soya sauce till it suits our taste and white pepper powder- like how we take half boil eggs
I absolutely love, love congee. It's more of a porridge than soup. It doesn't fill me up for long as I get hungry not long after since it's mostly water. When a Chinese person gets sick, his family will often make him congee since it is easy to eat. It's not meant to be spicy or extra flavourful.
If you eat congee every morning, you DON'T want it to be too flavorful. It is supposed to be mild and filling, to make up your body with some energy, so to speak. Also, people put their dough stick in the congee. Try it.
48:41 The Civic Center is blocked because you have to make an online reservation to get in on the night of the light show, in case there are too many people in the best viewing area, and the police in China are very friendly and probably just don't want to disturb you. I don't think that any leader would be bored enough to tell you not to disturb the tourists. Have a good time❤
you are supposed to eat the congee with salt and pepper and also some toppings like cilantro, green onions and lemons...that would make it so delicious
😂 😂😂😂 I am Chinese so I m so used to this city, I m watching it because the way you guys presented it is funny 😂😂😂😂 man, the close-up of your face in the park and the little garbage tube 🍾 on the ground 😂😂😂😂 What an interesting find 😂😂😂😂
The shop in southern of China is opened late at about 10am ,but closed time is also late at about 11pm I remember. The northern of China is complete opposite.
We Hongkongers now love to spend our weekends in Shenzhen because it is really a cool place. Wide variety of food, shopping is fun, lots of parks to relax, service is good and most important everything is ao cheap ( much cheaper than in Hongkong). And Shenzhen is such a vast city that you can go there lots of times and not get bored.
9:11 I believe they shut it down becuz like nobody buys ticket in Shenzhen now and they want to reduce their electricity bills. I dont think they are out of order
The first 3days of new year street will be empty, especially the big cities, employees are back to their hometown. Chain shops and mall will not closed, most people will back after 6th, and the city will crowded again.😊
congee is not an entree, but more of an accompaniment. It's like regular rice, rolls, potatoes, or bread. A neutral type of dish to get the palate ready for the next bite. It's watery because it's for breakfast, suitable. Chinese New Year is the worst time to go. The whole week, the cities are closed. I went to Taiwan during New Year's, and it was the same; nothing was open. That poor balloon...once it crosses into US territory, it will be shot down by the one and only F-22.
Love from China🇨🇳❤I hope you have the opportunity to travel to various provinces and cities in China, and each place has its own unique culture and food.😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉China and the United States are friends, not enemies❤❤❤❤
I saw the self-delivery truck and street cleaning machine up and down on the street of Suzhou, it also talks to the people while moving. Guangzhou has some of those too. Have you seen them?
Huge squares with a large flow of people are at risk of being trampled. The police are maintaining order and diverting crowds. There is no crime here, but overcrowding has its own dangers. In the past few years, there have been serious stampedes in squares in Shanghai and Seoul.
Other than the dough stick and congee, the rest are frozen dim sum that you are eating. They are okay, but if you want the better experience, go to the bigger restaurants. Chua Lam dim sum chains are probably better for foreigner’s taste buds.
Okay watched your other video. You did went to that one but you didn’t go for the fresh dumplings. Anyways, you tried the best selling bun in the country.
