Ini video tentang bali yg sesungguhnya,natural perjalanan yg membutuhkan perjuangan,saya jadi merasakan betapa perihnya kulit terkelupas akibat jalan kaki terlalu jauh.karena saya pernah mengalami jalan kaki walau hanya seharian,dari pagi sampe sore,rasanya itu nano-nano......jadi ga' sabar nih nunggu video selanjutnya.

I remember last month when i was on tour with my folding bike from Denpasar to Seririt and Gilimanuk takes about 150km lonely and very tiring and feel so scary sometimes but there is also good people very friendly ask me to stay for break and offer me some fresh coconut and i never forget about it and hope will be back on the road someday from Gilimanuk to Amed Thank you Susan for inspiring everyone 🙏 ❤

Nice idea haha. I once did a roadtrip from Kerobokan to Pemuteran (near Gilimanuk) to Amed to Kerobokan. You definitely see more than the touristic south of Bali. Just a small note, are you aware that wearing masks is still mandatory in Indonesia? Of course many locals in 'Northern' Bali do not have the same access to masks as you, so they are not wearing them. The unwillingness of people wearing masks is also one of the reasons why the Indonesian government is really slow on opening up the borders. Even the lady that lost her tourism job said she's vaccinated and wearing a mask, while she's wearing the masks below her mouth. Also, you tell the lady that you live in Bali. Do you have a resident / working permit? Be careful, since imigrasi is now going to be more strict on foreigners that work in Indonesia without a residence permit / working permit.

Great idea, fantastic challenge. Walking in that heat, i would not recommend. In Holland, during the Vierdaagse (famous walking event) the organisation would stop the walking because of so called "tropic" temperatures. Next time (going from North to South) invest in good walking shoes. And start around 05.00 AM. Goed bezig Susan, never giving up!

I usually walk 5 km in 1 hour. Then I was in highschool, there's event 3 times a year, walked around 15 km with friends from school, it takes about 3-4 hours because we did a lot of stops, my feet felt super hot because of the exercise, and whenever I found a stream I always dip my feet in it, it felt so refreshing! If it's 30 km per day then it's supposed to take around 6-8 hours.

I think it's the craziest act of walking from Gilimanuk to Amed. but I'm proud and support you. After all, hiking isn't just for the outdoors or the mountains. paved roads are also nature, even become our daily life, so why be proud of conquering the highest mountains in the world if you can't conquer asphalt roads that you usually use motorized vehicles? So cheer up friends, I support you
