This movie was mostly filmed at the Burlington Mall, and I go there a lot. Ever since I saw this movie, I can’t stop thinking about it when I go to the mall. Imagine going to a mall and thinking to yourself, “Hey, Kevin James could have rode his Segway right here.” That’s what I have to deal with now.
I remember as a kid being VERY upset about how the sequel started with his wife divorcing him and his mom dying. Like, I remember that I was so mad I deliberately tried to NOT laugh at some of the later jokes that actually did make me laugh. It just felt way too mean-spirited for child-me. As an adult now though, that scene is hilarious and Bren's reaction was hilarious.
Fun Fact: The second Paul Blart Mall cop movie was written to match up perfectly with the Dark Side of the Moon album by Pink Floyd. I will literally not watch this movie unless I have the whole Blart Side of the Mall experience.
These two movies might as well be considered those one movies that you’d watch with your dad from time to time. My dad is overly obsessed with this series and has laughed at the same exact moments he finds funny, and literally always laughs no matter how many times he rewatches the movies. They’re a fun time though, I’d say!

I love how when they were making fish puns, the editor just kept smashing their heads in with storage crates. It’s the closest they can get to getting revenge for having to survive through it.

obviously the thought process behind the bird scene was to introduce the shadow man, the puppet master pulling the strings behind every one of paul blart's trials, including his divorce and the death of his mother

I got a really dumb idea for a video, a movie called Dorothy the Dinosaur meets Santa Claus, it's a character from the Wiggles, I have a ton of nostalgia for that movie because my autistic brother played it for hours straight every day. It's a Christmas movie but do it in the middle of summer, for the funny.
Jayma Mays, who played the love interest in the first movie, was also Emma from Glee, and I literally can't decide if Paul Blart or Mr Schuester was a worse love interest
