This movie reminds me of a quote from one of Bill Burr's standup specials: "Real racism is quiet. It's subtle. People look around, make sure the coast is clear. They add disclaimers like 'Hey, you know I'm not racist, but these *INSERT GROUP NAME FOLLOWED BY FUCKED UP CONVERSATION'"*

Karen behaves less like a racist and more like a Disney supervillain. Just give her a cat, green and purple smoke and a music number and she is all set

So you start talking politics at a dinner party, and then get annoyed because someone talks politics?

Wait. What if Karen's house has *two* bathrooms, and the one you don't see is Union-themed?

Karen’s 2 children are now without a mother, father, or uncle(and all 3 of them were shot) and this is never addressed by the movie ._. I’d also like to add how strange it is that they made Karen a women literally driven mad by grief, and yet not a single bit of empathy is offered to her. Not even a “damn that sucks.” Bad vibes all around

Another "woke" movie that proves that the people behind it don't even realise that THEY are the racists. This shit is just sad, depressing, bitter, scary and disgusting.

Not how this movie basically rips off Lakeview Terrace (2008): - Widowed antagonist with two kids, a boy and a girl - Protagonists move into a tight-knit neighbourhood - Security equipment facing the protagonists’ house - Husband smokes, which he keeps from his wife, in his car at night, antagonist finds out - The protagonist couple have sex, in the full view of the antagonist’s child(ren) - Protagonists have a housewarming party that antagonist “crashes” and makes hella awkward - There's a conflict throughout on whether or not the protagonists should start a family - Antagonist’s child bonds with one of the protagonists, antagonist sees and gets annoyed - Antagonist's daughter is in an interracial relationship - At some point, it’s revealed the antagonist had a past negative experience which fuels their current hatred - In the climax, the antagonist enters the protagonists’ house with a gun - There’s a shootout at the end, which ends up with both the protagonist and antagonist getting shot; the antagonist dies from this The only major difference is that it’s a white woman terrorising a black couple, instead of a black man terrorising an interracial couple. Wonder why that is . . .? 🤔🤔🤔

And... Karen's kids are the only inoffensive/ not unlikeable characters. Was that supposed to the intent? Because Peele ain't Scorsese, but Peele this director is not.

This movie ends up being pretty racist, funny enough. The black couple decided to move to the neighborhood named after a confederate general because the crime rate is very low. Conclusion; racism prevents crime!

The writers screwed up (more than they did already) by giving her an origin story that made her damn near sympathetic, when the supposed point of the movie was to make her BS crazy and irredeemable as a character.

"Okay, so we have a white racist villain." "...Okay." "Her name is Karen." "......." "She has a Confederate flag soap dispenser." **snigger** "She has panic attacks when she hears Black Lives Matter." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My “favorite” part about this movie is how every single black person in this movie is adorned by African memorabilia, cuz every single black person has ancestry in Africa, amirite? If a white person made this movie, this would’ve been lambasted as the most racist movie ever (although i’m eternally grateful everyone hates it regardless). But great job making this movie bearable, guys! Watching this a second time but with your commentary makes it a lot more fun!

It's like this was written by someone who has never met black people OR white people before. I refuse to believe that the writer was not a tibetan hermit.

The funniest twist of this movie would be if the black dude cheated on his wife with Karen and suddenly the racism stopped. You know what they say, once you go black, your gonna need a wheelchair.

Why do these people invite this woman to their house, *after she spied on them*? Why did they not go to the cops or a lawyer? But no, let's chill at the housewarming. But pointing out your non-involvement in the slave trade, that's just beyond the pale.

Given what this movie is based off of this should have been a National Lampoon's style comedy complete with pratfalls and slapstick. Short of that if they wanted to make this a genuine thriller they should have set it in the 50s or 60s where the absurd degree of racism on display would have made more sense.

I hate the term "cultural appropriation", bc most times it's just a way for leftists to bitch about white people partaking in cultures that aren't their own, but I honestly think that applies at least somewhat to this movie. All the black characters show off African trinkets, wear African patterns and have ridiculous African accessories in almost every other scene as though Africa is a single country, instead of a huge continent with a multitude of different cultures. Seems like none of the black cast have ever stepped foot in an African country and the director just wanted to make it look as though their characters were in touch with their "African roots", but did it in the most superficial and performative way possible.

My immersion was broken in the first few minutes, Karen has a Honda Odyssey in the driveway, no way she would drive a car made by the YELLOW people.

This movie almost seems like a joke but has enough moments to feel like it isn’t meant to be.

I’d like to remind everyone that Ethiopia didn’t outlaw slavery until about the mid 20th century... also several genocides of different ethnic-tribal groups even into the modern age... irrelevant details yes, but since they keep bringing up those Ethiopian swords.

Overall the movie is so trash, we can all agree. I honestly kinda hoped that there would be an affair between the black guy (forgot his name) and Karen. Also, the ending is so f*cking bizarre to me. 😳

Ya know for a movie that’s supposed to be about a racist white woman, the film representation of how black people live is pretty racist...

So the guy kicked out of a restaurant just so happens to know the main character. I thought it was racist to think all black people know Each other. Yet in this movie apparently they all do.

This movie is perfect! It perfectly shows you how the mind of a black woke activist see's the world, how they believe themselves to be eternal victims, and how all white people are evil and racist. And if you criticise the movie in any way, it allows them to cry victim even more. The funniest thing, the title Karen comes from stories from Reddit about entitled women who think the world revolves around them. That title has NOTHING related to race, because you have Black Karens, White Karen, Asian Karens, Mexican Karens, it is not a race specific title, despite left leaning media claiming otherwise.

So the highlight of this movie. "Karen was a victim of a racial crime, but what's sick is that she's racist and not that a racist killed her husband" ...k.

I was hoping that JLongBone to do a reaction to the shitshow that was Karen and truth be told I actually forgot about some of the scenes that were in it like the pecan pie scene. This reaction video was fucking hilarious and yes Coke Daniels did a lot of cocaine during the film making process.

I am so happy that J was able to post this so I could witness with my own ears how she tormented three of her friends as they watched the best satirical political/social commentary masterpiece. Truly, worthy of an Oscar.

Also remember when films had costume designers that were made to ya know, look nice? Are woke movies trying to say "just look normal, or don't, that's life it doesn't matter THAT MUCH" or "we don't care long as we get the woke message accross." I'm going with the latter, because it's not mutually exclusive, in fact there's never a "normal" in a sense it's usually one extreme to another (supermodel cast and clothing or basically what I just described).

Maybe a major contender for the Golden Razzies? However, because its heart is in "The Right Place", this piece of utter **** might even be in contention for an Oscar! It is an arch-liberal's wet dream and will doubtlessly "speak" to Hollywood on so many levels. The film does make a token effort towards explaining Karen's behaviour, but then does absolutely nothing to develop this and to possibly give Karen a road to redemption. Utterly rotten in concept, this film is little more than just a series of stereotypes bolted together to provide a totally one-dimensional and one-sided study of bigotry and hatred. Anyone any idea as to what this film cost to make and how much it took at the cinema?
