It’s not against the law for the people in those community to rise up and see that these things are being done. They should hold their elected officials accountable. Form community initiatives and get these things done by and through the movement of the people. I don’t accept your thoughts . That’s what has held down our people for years . Government this and government that. It’s the people that must start the movement and then with steadfastness the government will see the movement and join forces. What this blogger is doing is a movement. I achieved general one in history cxc; and yet still I knew nothing of these sites and information. I left Ja over 36 years now but I remember fully well in my community we got things done due to one man in Saint Mary call Putty. He died and the movement slowed if not died with him. Some are not restorrable. There are several that are restored but Jamaicans are not into their history .

They already know these area. The person who restores old building there is from St. Thomas. Many buildings are restored but these dont have solid structures to restore them.

Where do you find those journals?

@@Its_I_Ziggyman libraries, old book stores, and some I found in my grandfathers house. He was a UWI professor in the 70s. My grandmother was his student, thats how they met. He said that a lot of the books were left on some properties for people to pick through after they knocked down some of the famous great houses/plantations. He found journals and log books with names if labourers and how much they would produce everyday- even photos. The libraries and museums in the 70s didnt want it since a lot of people were trying to distance themselves from their colonial past & not be reminded of it. He kept them all of these years.
