Diving deep into the weaknesses of the space knights I explain the kinks in their armour and things to watch out for. Looking for tips on beating Military Orders and upping your Infinity game? This is the video for you.
Great video! For me, the most notorious weakness of Military Orders is the lack of versatility of the list one can bring into the table. Give us more videos like these, please. Thank you for doing this!
Military Orders have no weakness. We are the pinnacle of perfection ;) Jokes aside, very informative video for MO players too. We need to know how to circumvent around weak sides. As for units themselves, I usually get one unit hacked so I am quite prepared for it. Loosing orders has never affected me. Brother Konstantinos seems like overlooked piece, but I usually infiltrate him near enemy pieces as a sacrifice, forcing my opponent to devote part of his forces to get rid of him, allowing me the time to take control of the battlefield. Hidden sniper(s) is a must for my lists and while my opponent usually expects 1, I tend to surprise him with 2. Lastly, I usually take Joan and Teutonics, to keep my opponent guessing which is Lt. Haven't tried to decoy those two for KC posing as Crosier.
About the Mine and the Dart camo token, you can place the mine wherever you choose within your ZC so you could place the mine a little behind, so it looks like dart ;) You can also hide 2 sepulcres as one, being one can be without the duplicates and the other having just one. Then you have two shots unexpecedly against the oponent. I like to put the 3 teutonic knights, the sniper crossier and the black friar in a core link. That's 5 pieces in ARO duty with 2 shots each (at least once haha).
I once ended up Holomasking my Knight Commander as an Order Sergeant and it completely worked as bait; my opponent wasted an insane amount of activations picking off my Croziers while he ran around with a Curator as a Duo, hovering close to my Seraph and leaving my opponent baffled the entire game.
@@the_infinitygamer I ended up complementing him with a Teutonic NCO, which led to a hyperactive spitfire-wielding pinball bouncing around the midfield beating up his button-pushers hopped up on impetuous and LT orders. Madness reigned.
Nice! I dont get to play against MO often and i have played maybe 5-6 games as them. I think knowing which units have stealth or not is important. Esp if you dont have 6th sense hackers. I also think their lack of msv 1 and 2 is huge deal. Mim3 can pick on teutonic and sepulchre pretty well
Played my MO this week instead of Starmada, very different and I found myself starving for orders, the Black Friar was great with the msv2. somehow the Fugazi managed to stun almost anything that moved in the 1st turn with Aros and was mvp. The Hospitalier were great and all but not nearly on the level of a 7pt bot. Will definitely play them again - I did find I was very afraid of losing anything because it was all so expensive.
I have just started to look at infinity and my friend chose Military orders so this was brilliant. (I sent it to him rather than learn how to pick him apart 😂)
Having banged my head against the list for a few games, I definitely feel MO is kinda of a one trick combat army that needs at least average dice, or it's over. It's a great model line, but having a lot of wounds and CC isn't really a big selling point in a shooting came like Infinity.
@@the_infinitygamer yeah, i think thats been kinda of my problem, i like flexible armies and it feels like there is a very specific way to build and play MO. Maybe reinforcements will shake things up for them.
@the_infinitygamer I can see some weaknesses. It's been a while since I watched your video, so there's probably some overlap with that, but here are my thoughts: The faction is caught between wanting to run forwards and to hang back: hackable troops with melee, spitfires, and missile launchers. They don't have very good hacking projection, with a lack of pitchers and pretty limited repeater options. Some of their hacker options are fairly good, but none are efficiently optimised like you'd see in about half the other factions. Meanwhile, most of the good active units are hackable. Coherent teams are quite restrictive. Expendable defences such as warbands and minelayer are severely limited, though auxbots do help here. Sweeper options are limited outside 24", as most units get spitfires rather than hmgs. You mostly have the tikbalang and sepulchre, which are great, but are a pretty limited range of choices. With no smoke, PanO is very reliant on HMGs to leave their deployment zone. MO could easily be forced to use a linked missile launcher in the active turn. The MSV and mimetism may be reasonably numerous, but they're almost all on thirty-ish point single wound troops. The only one with an hmg being the tikbalang, which isn't hugely versatile. Their TAGs are light, neither has anything like a multi weapon for AROs.
Morning IG, I've had Infinity for a while now with Operation Coldfront, only had a few games but that's changing as my son is fascinated by Infinity, so we are now getting up to speed finally with the game. Really like Military Orders as our next faction. What would you suggest as an early force list as well as some options for different missions?
Oooh that’s a great question. You can’t really go wrong with Teutonic Knights. You’ll probably be taking a Haris with at least two of them so that box is worth getting. Black Friar is almost always in my list and I often holomask the Knight Commander as a Crosier. Crosiers are good line infantry. Then, depending on your play style, you’ll likely want a Knight of The Holy Sepulchre (KOTHS) or a Tikbalang. The former is more sneaky and get close while the Tikbalang can add some range. Armbots are super cool too. Depending on the mission Trinitarians are useful camo infiltrating specialists. Don’t know if that helps?
@@the_infinitygamer sorry found it, Tikbalang. Can't see that model in the store....oh one more thing. Excuse my stupidity but what is a Haris? I've heard that a few times, is that like a unit or group? I'm just starting to read Code one so haven't quite got to army building yet and watching a lot of your great content.
