I love how most of Forge’s best features were derived from the community through bugs or modded Xboxs. From physics, to precision editing, to structure pieces/natural pieces, scripting, vehicle welding, and weapon combination were all made because the community pushed the limits of Forge. I really hope more innovation comes to Forge as time goes one and hopefully we can get mod support one day (not likely while the game is a live service, but maybe someday)
@@Atrocityyyz yeah but I mean genuine mod support like how MCC is getting. If we had the right tools the community could just make Infinite actually last 10 years.
LET’S FUCKIN GOOOOOOO- Really takes the “it’s not a bug it’s a feature” joke to a whole new level- I loved this in Halo 5 and I’m really glad they’re bringing it here
this is so impressive , I wonder how deep the scripting really goes , like if you could for example write wallrunning code , i imagine itd look pretty janky without any animations but still.
@@AkinaSpeedStarsAE86 the game has a fist weapon used in the tutorial where you have no weapons. in the code that no-weapon state is just a weapon that should technically be equippable
It's practically dev tools why the fuck doesn't this exist more? It's incredible and will help keep communities alive. This is a massive W for halo if it really will release with all these features i keep seeing
@@mahirhunt117 thats not true. They can still monitize skins and other dumb shit having a map creator this in depth is great for the community. Nothing to do with monetization
Reminds me of a halo 2 mod where you swap the sentinel beam projectile to a scorpion shot and change the xyz axis to make it rain down from the sky similar to the Hammer of Dawn from gears of war
Could you find a way to merge the two equipped guns on custom equipment use? The other two could drop and be replaced with the one combined gun. I tried and have not found a way.
Will you be able to make so you can spawn in with random weapons and random equipment for any game type? Like Infection but with random weapons/equipment?
Regarding weapons with two firing modes, can you script the modes separately? Could you make a Heatwave that can toggle between rockets and sniper rounds or something?
Can you script it for the weapons you pick up off weapon stands to function differently? Or just weapons you spawn with? I'm trying to set up my Unreal Tournament map to have it's weapons function the same as the game with them in the proper placements.
How in depth is scripting in regards to weapon tuning? Like are we able to adjust projectile velocity, bullet damage, reload speed, fire rate, etc. or is it essentially limited to the Halo 5 pad glitch?
Is it possible to modify the projectile of vehicle weapons? Like could you replace the warthog turret with a needler? Maybe we could recreate the gauss warthog if we can find suitable projectile to look and fire like a gauss weapon. You could make a good anti infantry banshee by combining pinpoint needler and ravager on a banshee.
Question: is there a way to create a script for a Double Jump? And like someone else asked, Wallrunning? Also i guess a script to recall a vehicle from above would be possible, atleast using the same script from LSS. (Basically: could be possible to recreate Titanfall systems into Infinite by applying a script to the whole map?)
@@CarlosAlvarez-iy7jj I saw a clip of a wraith shooting a scorpion shell, and I believe vehicle combos is a feature as well. I don't know about fusion coils though.
with some exceptions, the weapon fires like it normally would, but shoots the projectile you selected. certain weapons will affect the ammo capacity, type of reload, and fire-rate though. and certain weapons just won't work with the sentinel beam.
Holy shit, could it be possible to create a pump shotgun using the Hydra as a base, and the Bulldog as the configuration? Or alternatively, the Heatwave as the base. You have individual reloads, but the projectiles of the Bulldog.
Not to be "that guy" but...The hydra and heatwave are semi auto. The bulldog is technically pump action if you look at its animation, it just auto-fires as a gameplay feature.
😔 I'm a little salty that we are getting all this Forge content early and we have no fucking clue when everyone is gonna get access ..... Alot of this shit would of been cool to discover
You spend so much time fiddling in the menu and then like 3 seconds actually showing off the weapon. These videos are super cool, but you waste a ton of time.
