Hello, I'm new to this channel, but I'm glad I can learn more about the gear build for the two featured weapons, and generally, I have a gear build that helps all three weapon roles, since I play all three, and I generally don't run my set with custom blaster, I usually use the Range Blaster and Rapid Blaster Pro Deco, since I'd prefer to fight further away than up close (better safe than sorry I guess), and with Triple Splashdown, I don't use it to fight until I need to get away or just get turf with it (since I'll get one later on) and not risk a death with Triple Splashdown. Anyways, Thank you for teaching me more about my second favorite blaster :)

Now I have to take an identical class as the one before :(

One thing I'm surprised I didn't see mentioned in the CB section is that Triple Splashdown can be a very effective defensive option if someone is too close to hit with AoE (at least, in my experience in solo queue). If you miss a direct at that range, then pulling out Triple Splashdown is likely to be a lot faster than going for a second shot, and at that range they're pretty much guaranteed to be within the radius of all three explosions; even if they react fast enough to splat you you're still at least going to trade with them.

I still don't understand why Custom Blaster got Point Sensor as its sub. Nintendo loves to refrence old kits, so why didn't they give it Toxic Mist to be a callback to Splatoon 2 Blaster?

Blasters can get Pew Pew noises when they get their own Bamboozler class weapon eventually.

17:22 I always hear people compare S-Blast short range to Luna Blaster but I think this comparison is wrong. After 5 starring the good variant, S-Blast close range feels much more like a Clash Blaster to me. A Luna feels much stronger in that regard. S-Blast Blast radius equals Clash Blast Radius (4.0 units, Luna: 3.57). S-Blast is also MUCH slower than Luna. Luna takes 80 frames to get a splat with double indirects (40 frames per shot), S-Blast needs 120 frames (60 frames per shot), just like range blaster. Funny enough, Clash also takes 80 frames for a splat with only indirects (20 frames per shot) but these can be at least shortened to 40 if you hit both shots. S-Blast could do that too, but you'll need a lot of IA to get the shot accurate enough to consistently pull it off. Btw the shot velocity of S-Blast is 1.7 units per frame, which is almost 70% higher than Range Blaster (1.08) and all other non rapid blasters. Short Rapid is 1.2, Rapid Pro used to have the highest velocity of all blasters (1.4). For the short range, it's a regular ~1 units per frame velocity on S-Blast. --- I'm really torn about the weapon. S-BLAST '91 feels like it's lacking a good concept. I think it needs a major rework of the main gun to make it a consistent fun weapon to play. I think instead of focussing on a different Range Blaster, the should've made S-Blast a jack-of-all-trades blaster which has the same average stats as regular blaster but with the two modes and different blast radiuses.

Something to note in regards to blaster compared to range blaster and other weapons: its jump rng is actually worse than range blaster. Be very careful if playing without intensify!

Haha I’ve always wanted to see someone die by a splash wall. I sometimes play Z+F and I always thought it would be funny if I tap-shotted like three time at someone who got to close and then finish them off with a splash wall
