Depavali is not celebrated by the Iyengars of Mandyam, because Tipu Sultan had butchered and killed over 700 families of Mandyam Iyengars on Deepavali day. It is their way of grieving.
I rwally hope they did revenge themselves against tipu and his progeny and shed an equal amout of blood of his supporters otherwise this centuries long grieving only marks them as an honourless people who would keep whining rather than retaliate.
@@mattynewham1125 @Matty Newham hindus never did that. I could easily abuse you mock you with such exasperating comment. Unfortunately that is not our culture.
India and Hindus let down Kashmiri pandits! There is no excuse for that. We must own up and repent by standing together with our brothers! Please! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Kashmiri Pandit are responsible for their own fate. I have many of them and they are self loathed selfish cowards who use to collaborate with Kashmiri Mulla against Indian system. Once the myll got empowered they have thrown them out if valley. Today kashmiri Pandit are refugge bcoz once they did not allow Hindutva to be strong in valley siding with Jehadi Mulla. Most of the Kashmiri Pandit suffer from Stockholm syndrome who justify Islamic persecution . ...just do your research ....
True but also look at Kashmiri Pandits themselves. Not long ago, when the government attempted to get them to vote in Kashmir elections, their turnout was abysmal. Other Hindus may move heaven and Earth, but if the Pandits themselves are afflicted with Stockholm syndrome and not interested in fighting for justice, nothing at all can ever be achieved.
I don’t want to point finger at other communities, but the we the hindus of India have let down the Kashmiri Pandits. The more I think about it the more disgusted I feel about myself.
Very true, but valid for all the Hindus of the separated territories and even those undergoing gradual ethnic cleansing in locales within India. The Indian State failed to support them and they did not or could not narrate their experiences to the world. But let us recognise that it happened to them not as Pandits , but as Hindus. We should have a historical perspective rather than being episodic.
navinpratapsingh07 whats the obsession of Hindus/liberals like you to use stupid terms and phrases like “ashamed of myself” What the fuck would you have done? secularism and constitution of India is anti Hindu
Heartrending stories of Kashmiri pandits, made me cry. May justice prevail. So much of hardship and humiliation yet most people knew nothing about it for so long. So much wrong in our society.
While almost all panelists gloated over their own personal stories of victimhood, am amazed that nobody refered to "Weaponizing Victimhood" in the context of the flawed n failed reservation system which India has been practicing and paying a heavy price for. The Reservation System was supposed to bring about social equality and economic upliftment was seen as a means to achieve that. Instead, what has happened over the past 73 years is that more and more castes are claiming to be 'backward' enough to be included in the lucrative Reservation ecosystem. Shamefully, even historically privileged castes are claiming the benefits of the Reservation System for their community. Even without this, the Reservation System is the most glaring and classic example of "Weaponizing Victimhood" as it has only ended up creating a robust creamy layer within this quota ecosystem, thereby depriving the genuinely backward within the community the benefits of the Reservation System. So, unless the entire Reservation System ia revamped to provide, say free education to all economically backward people and make everyone compete as equals for Govt jobs and promotions, the ultimate objective of social equality will remain unfulfilled. The present RS only promotes inefficiency n mediocrity, and resentment both within the communities who benefit from the RS and also those who do not. When everyone competes for Govt jobs n promotions as equals, it will promote merit and let the reserved category earn the respect of their peers both within n outside their communities. This is perhaps the best way to achieve social equality. Am amazed that even leaders of the 'backward' communities do not speak of revamping the RS this way.
Kanchan Gupta is utterly utterly insufferable as a moderator. His extremely sloooooooooow speech either because he cannot gather his thoughts fast enough or he's deliberately slowing down to make his words seem important was so grating on nerves. He rudely interrupted Shubhrastha and Shefali mid-sentence and did not let them complete their thoughts. Abhinav Prakash did not understand Subhrastha's points and stood up strawman arguments to disagree with her superbly articulated thoughts. Abhijit was irreverent as ever, a delight to listen to. Shefali should have been the moderator instead of this slow talking Kanchan.
I agree with Shaifali..women when they play a victim card they belie their equality story too. sad to know that the people from other side are not able to accept other point of view...
I agree with Abhijit Iyer Mitra, right wing needs to be a lot more academic instead of relying on hearsay or it needs to get academic on their payroll in order to do so
We did learn it and used it reasonably well under Gandhi against the British... BUT as soon as the British left, we promptly forgot it. Now we are "oppressors" one way or another, either on "minority" religions or on lower caste people or on feminists or "dravidians", imposing languages on them... something or the other always...
@bonny 21 Bade Bhai either your sarcasm meter is broken or your understanding of the english language is. I was being sarcastic there. So yea I agree with you, we mainstream non lower caste Hindus are always blamed as opressors and these days at least, its just not true in most places in the country!
Shefali Vaidya is my hero. She's a housewife and a badass. She's reminding us that even housewives have intelligence, ambition and can do amazing work. I love that narrative.
@@universeofopulence they will play this victim card till they become majority. Once they become majority they will start eliminating all other minority. And that is the fact read history or look at the current situation in all the Islamic countries. Pakistan used to be about 30% Hindu look at now only 1% left. None of these oil-rich Islamic countries will take single refugees. But they will make sure they will send enough refugees of Their Own to the west to take over every year. This is their biggest and most successful Invasion of the West. I don't know how these Western don't see it
Once communist propaganda successfully warps one's thinking, it is just impossible to make him/her see the truth right in front with own eyes. What is needed is a swift kick of the military boot in the backside. Gandhi said that to attain Ram Rajya, there can only be fundamental duties, not fundamental rights.
Develop the concept of "Transgenerational Trauma" from the Hindu perspective. I think they all should work in collaboration with Rajat Mitra, he could have been a very good participant would have added a lot of value 🙏😊
We have led down everybody, we Hindus and people from dharmic religions, we need to stick together... Really tight if we want to win this war against Islam.
Why we Hindus playing the right vs left it's their category their playing field their rules? We have our own categories like dharmik and aadharmik . Be a dharmik and destroy aadharma.
At 42:00. can't imagine brahmins rioting or bitting lower cast. It is usually the middle casts (who are proud that they are not the lowest) try to victimise and bit lowest casts
Reservation on basis of economic status is still justifiable. But to see people richer than me still getting benefits scoring way less than me is very hurtful.
Money is not the only capital. Reservation is based on socio-economic status, not just economic status. Upper castes enjoy nepotism, family privilege and accumulated wealth from their social networks plus caste based social privilege.
@@SkumarC the generational wealth created for low castes is far much lower than upper caste. If you want to remove reservation, first remove the inheritance of property from father to son, then we'll talk.
Only two points mentioned in the debate To counter/handle/manage victimhood weponisation... tell the other side of the story, understand and counter the argument. Both solutions if effective is only catering a small group. Requires a person to have factual knowledge to counter the arguments which is placed by people are the one who have good funding and resources. On a larger scale one solution said is social science education should be improved. Education in the country which is hacked by the leftist and colonized since half century and more. A common man with no funding, limited resources and distorted education and governance system has to counter all on one’s own grit, finance and compromised life of getting ghosted treatment by the society!!! The people in the such kind of panels have good knowledge and resources hence would request that these people come together and promote common online resources platform and promote that. This would have wider reach and is manageable. Thanks
abhinav prakash very well told how hostels of patna university are divided into dalits and dominant castes. How dominant caste cut electricity ,water pipes but he fails is to put the picture of other side. you cannot show entire case just by showing one sided photo of the case.
But trauma is trauma and even if you put a personality, truth is truth, you can't always make it about achievement etc it would be problematic that way
@Shreyan Laha No, but we did expect him to criticize Vidhu Vinod Chopra's nonsensical film on the genocide of the Kashmiri Pandits. He did nothing of that sort and instead kept endorsing it.
We have failed as Hinduisum. It was upon us to look after and guide humanity and not let other religious systems flourish. We were meant to lead but we did not. We haven't fulfilled our responsibility. We gave too much freedom for wrong translation and narration to spread. We are suffering our own shortcomings. My comment before i start listening to the discussion.
Abhijit is a delight to listen to. What an insufferable dhimmi idiot Pandita is. Good to see him exposed. Kanchan da is ponderous & eats up too much of the session. Overall good session, well done Pondy.
A nuanced topic with insufficient time for a nuanced discussion. Abhinav Prakash is without substance, but with tons of victimhood himself. Other panelists were briliant & would have performed better if only the moderator, Kanchan Gupta, spoke less, spoke faster & not strangulated them.
Can anyone from Bihar or UP verify the things said by Abhinav Prakash.... I stayed in a hostel in UP for 1 year .... And never saw such things thats why I asked it???? If it's happening then it's a shame...
It is very funny that even though there is one - if not Iyer, a half Iyer - in the panel, nothing whatsoever about the victimhood of the Iyers of Tamil Nadu is even knownlet alone discussed. We have waxed eloquent as a nation about Kashmiri Pandits, but does anyone in our so called "Militant Hindu Right" know of what happens with the Iyers in Tamil Nadu? How Dravidians treat them? No. Because we don't moan. We bear. Shefaliji and Shubhrasthaji were brilliant and direct compared to the wishy washy men on the panel, who took pride in being "men". Mard ko dard nahi hona chahiye and all that. But in the end is there any clear voice for the Iyers of Tamil Nadu and how the Dravidians have been destroying them for over a century now? I am more with Sai Deepak, who would have been a great panelist on this because he talks of unfashionable victims bravely, while these panelists, especially the stupid male ones, (the ladies did better) who are more secularists than panelists. The unknown anchor keeps talking inane things and encouraging the more mediocre panelists with personal agendas.
maybe the trauma is still so raw that he can't bring himself to start talking about it. some people feel very uncomfortable playing victim. they're proud people.
There is no use of documenting pain and not acting over it..... Please don't try to become another Gandhi... Remember he never was successful only hyped
