Shooting the all new "Select Plus" ammo from Weatherby, featuring the Barnes 100 grain TTSX bullets. Shot a five shot, one inch group at 100 yards and the 3,570 fps velocity makes it a laser for off hand shooting.
I just purchased a Weatherby deluxe 257. I am planning on shooting the exact same Barnes bullet as well. Have you killed anything yet with this bullet? Very curious. Thank you!
I just purchased that exact same rifle and several boxes of that ammo. Ammo has been hard to find so when I found it I bought 10 boxes. Have you hunted and killed with that combination of rifle and ammo yet? Thank you!
Great for hunting annually, not for plinking since the barrel throat will be vaporized in less than 500 rounds thus any notion of the bullet going in the direction the barrel is pointed becomes questionable.
@@charlesludwig9173 Yeah some guys running 2000 rounds through their pistol in a month, I hope I don't end up with it. I buy new if possible unless I know who had it. Lol everything wears out under pressure.👍
@@waynecastleman1363 I used to rebarrel my 6.5/284 almost monthly during High Power Rifle Competition season. After 500 rounds I could not buy X-Ring hits at Long Range (1000 yard) events. That was a problem since quite often the X Count determines the winner in High Master Class. At any rate, rebarreling was just too expensive so I switched to Long Range Service Rifle Division, slinging 80 grain bullets from .223 chamber. My scores dropped but skill and fun grew.
