Not been here since I was on a school trip, and can’t really remember it all, guess we need to go back. The views from the top were stunning. Awhh thanks both, seems ages ago now but isn’t it just fab to have these videos to look back at - I had a lovely bar of Toblerone on the ferry but got prezzies when we got home 🥰 I’ve been wanting to go to the Mont since we visited with the kids in 2015 and again in 2019 on our own, which had been planned but due to Brxit our ferry was changed so we didn’t have time to visit. So glad we go there this time, definitely worth a return visit and that site was great plus the Aire up the road looked good too 😍
Hi Alan, thank you for watching all of them, we had such an amazing time exploring both the French and Spanish Pyrenees - such a great place for cycling and there were loads more routes we didn’t have time for so we’ll definitely be going back. Mark is a very keen cyclist too 😍 Have you been anywhere in Europe cycling? If so, where’s your favourite place?
@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark I have cycled across France a couple of times. The first one St Malo to Bilbao and the second one St Malo to Nice. I’ve done a trip across the Alps. I’ve also done quite a bit of northern France, a bit of Belgium (Flanders) and plenty of Mallorca! The Alps were amazing, as was the Ardeche.
@@alanbenham4139 Wow!! That’s a couple of big rides there! Mark has been to the Alps and we’ll go there together one day. We’ve cycled a lot in Girona, you may have picked up on that in one of the videos but we try to cycle wherever we can when we go on holiday - you get to see so muh more don’t you 😊
My wife and I stayed there last year. Nice little campsite and lovely cycle to the Mont. As a matter of interest why did you walk and not cycle. Enjoyed the vid.
Hi Barry, thank you for watching 😊 It was a lovely site, so quiet! So we walked because we had done a long cycle the day before so usually cycle one day, walk/run the next and I thought it would be a nice walk along the river. Obviously the plan was to get the bus back 😂 We also don’t like to leave our bikes where we can’t see them even if they are locked up. Did you visit the Abbey when you stayed there?
My wife and I have enjoyed your travels, some of the views and locations etc have been fantastic plus we've been them places so have brought back good memories, many many years ago (almost 30) we took the children to st michel and the road leading up to it was full and I mean full of sheep, and then later in the day it all flooded, anyway happy anniversary and birthday, another good vlog keep them coming 👍
Thank you both for watching and we’re glad our videos have taken you on a little trip down memory lane 😊 Some of those places were epic but we we’re gutted to realise we were very close to the Pic Du Midi (near the Col du Tourmalet) - have you ever been there? Mont St Michel must have been so different then! I liked the bridge they have there now though, makes it a lot easier to get to the Mont unlike St Michaels Mount that is only accessible by boat when the tide is in! Plus it was so cheap to get into. Back in Cornwall next week 😊
Pic du midi no have never been, but if it's like where you guys were then it's on the list, as for Cornwall lovely part of the country, been many times, used to go to hollywell bay just round from Newquay, in fact was in Cornwall last year when going abroad was a bit harder, we often shot down to Exmouth Devon as the council let you park overnight on the seafront for £11, search for sites say nothing over 5.2m but we're 6.1m and the wardens have told us that's fine so we do that as we live in Hampshire it's only 130 miles for us, hoping to take the motorhome to kinderdijk and Rotterdam end of October, cold wet probably but who cares as long as your out the house, looking forward to future vlogs, keep them coming 👍.
@@stephenhayward6445 We try to do lots of day trips around and about Cornwall as often as we can - we absolutely love the coast and going for a run/walk on the coast path is just a perfect day for us. Exmouth was one of the first places we went to in Indie last year as our daughter was living in Exeter (for Uni) and friends of ours go and stay there exactly like you so its been on our minds to do the same for quite a while. That sounds like an interesting trip in October - are you guys on instagram? Be lovely to follow you on your adventures. We couldn’t agree more about being out of the house!!
No I'm not on Instagram, in fact I'm really not on social media apart commenting on yours and The Frenchies motorhome vlogs but my wife is on Instagram and has been since about 2019 but by all means look her up and do what you Instagramers do, it's Ann Hayward her profile picture his her on a sandy beach with a blown up pink heart shape donut, it will be good to share ideas etc 👍.
