Cruise delayed in Port for 36 hours!!!!! New Year's Eve onboard P&O IONA 

You must have had an amazing vantage point from up there! Lots of people in the atrium did head to the windows for a look but as you could see we were too busy singing and dancing 🤣 Hope you had a fabulous time on the cruise too 🤩 Thanks for watching - Amanda & Mark 😍

Brilliant Captain, he made the right decision , as weather was appalling, almost throughout the Holiday , nothing you can do , ship and crew were great .

You are absolutely right that's probably what would have happened and I know I was so disappointed to start with - we'd originally booked pretty much the same itinerary on Iona for January 22 but cancelled because there were still some COVID restrictions in place so I was really looking forward to this one but like you saw it turned out really good in the end and yes we've done the Bay of Biscay on the ferry crossing which was really rough and a couple of transatlantic crossings that have had a few rough days but all in all the first few days were good. So much to see and we were so busy we didn't always have time to film everything 😂 Have you got more cruises planned? Thank you so much for watching - Amanda & Mark 😍

In summer we're trying Queen Anne to see if Cunard is for us, and finally for 2024 we have MSC World Europa at the end of the year. Great to watch & listen to other peoples experiences, it's given us fresh perspective & ideas on how to get the most out of our cruising, keep up the good work & hope you enjoy creating & building the youtube channel.

@@Travel_Day_Dreams Well thats just a little bit spooky!! Our next cruise is on Sky Princess, our first Princess cruise and we are on MSC World Europa towards the end of the year too!! I’m hoping to get a ship visit on Queen Anne but would love to do a Cunard cruise one day just to say we’ve done it - Happy Cruising 🚢😍

We had a great time after feeling so disappointed to start with ☹️ Oh bless her, honestly there were so many people poorly and not able to get out of bed for a couple days! One couple we spoke to said they'd be flying from from Lisbon or Vigo if there was a chance of the return sailing being the same 😮 The ship was good, not as modern as MSC Euribia that we went on in November though. @@AdventureswithAmandaandMark yes we did two and both were in Sky Dome. The first one was better as not too many attended the second. We would have liked to have done one int the Atrium as we have seen it done there when we watched other Iona vlog channels.

@@AdventureswithAmandaandMark they give the captains a manual on what to say in all situations he was reading off something in the past captains would just say we are stuck here till the weather improves, i been on many P&O cruises and it all changed after the pandemic the captain does not come down unless he has too.

No that speech is typical of our fabulous captain, Wesley Dunlop. He is just the same when you are talking one on one

@@41djbrooks Ok but I’m sure they don’t write things like “movable feast” and “sweet point” 😁 We just thought his way with words was so entertaining. Mark got to shake his hand and say thank you when he was out meeting guests on one of the port days 🤝🏻
