I remember being a little girl at my parent’s friend’s weddings - such great memories. I’m glad my parents took me to elegant events when I was a child: the ballet, the theater, fancy dinners, weddings, etc… It showed me what to look forward to later in life and gave me the opportunity to learn how to emulate good behavior. My husband and I loved having kids at our wedding, we don’t think they’re annoying at all.

I am team kids at the wedding because I've been to so many weddings as a kid myself and I remember it always being the best time ever (like especially seeing all my cousins and other relatives I rarely got to see in every day life) and it got me into loving weddings so much until today! So yeah, kids make great memories there too ^^

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me. My fiancé and I are going through our guest list now and we have decided NO CHILDREN as guest unless they are IN the wedding as part of the wedding party. Anyone 17 and under can stay home. No offense. Also the acquaintances: they can come off the list too. That includes family. If I haven't spoken to a cousin in over 2 years, they are definitely not invited. This video helped a lot!!!

My mother in law is toxic. She got mad and basically cussed my husband out and called him ungrateful for not being a bridesmaid at my wedding lol. She never calls to talk to us or swings by the house ever. My husband didn't want to invite his own mother to our wedding. I'm gonna have a wedding coordinator in case she tries anything psycho

How do you feel about inviting a friend, but NOT that friends fiancée? I think they might not come if their partner doesn’t come, but we don’t know her. I know that I wouldn’t want my man going to a wedding unless I’m going with him

Sorry but I don’t agree with your advice to give both sets of parents you guest list and to allow them any say especially if the couple is paying for the wedding. Sounds like more of a process than it needs to be

Thank you Jesus I found your video I am ready to hurt some feelings NO KIDS, ONLY immediate family and very very very close friend , no work friends, and acquaintances because I'm not going stress on my wedding day ! I am not going to pay for people that was never been there for me at my lowest point of my life. Forgive me I sound very harsh. Keep them kids at home I am not liable for them breaking and messing everything up they don't belong at wedding.

Kids do NOT belong at a wedding. There is no reason to add that extra stress to the bride the family and everyone having to accommodate the safety of a toddler or the mishaps little kids can cause. Wedding nightmare

Well that's why I'm going to have baby sitters there to watch the kids. My kids are apart of the wedding too, but I understand they can't be at the wedding the entire time. I'm planning a kids party for them in a separate space to run concurrently during the cocktail hour and wedding reception.

I am definitely having kids at a wedding. First, all my friends have kids, they wouldn’t be able to come. And secondly, I have lots of god kids, I love kids

Won't want any kids at my wedding except for kids who are involved in the wedding, OR well-behaved kids in immediate family. So friends children cannot come, babies may not come, and kids who misbehave or have crying blowouts and temper tantrums may not come. Kids of friends may come if they are an adult, but no children under the age of 18 may come if they are not a part of the wedding or immediate family.
