@@MoneyMM2020 wait, huh? Saying Chris and Slim were just muscle is crazy. The Chris that Marlo trusts to close deals with the Greek and pretty much deter Marlo from starting an unnecessary war? He understands war and business plenty, he has a military background. Slim started off as a pawn that made it all the way to the other side of the Chess board. We don’t know as much about them as we do Weebay, but they’re far from one dimensional characters.

@@jefferycrouse4652 and like a lot of things in this show, it’s a good contrast to Mcnulty that Bey reached that point at the perfect time to be able to get Namond out the game before it was too late. Mcnulty’s sons are already basically grown doing their own thing

I know this got nothing to do with it, but rewatching the show you really notice how much of snake Stringer is. Like that whole "build a wall around you" thing with Avon was just him trying to isolate Avon from the business so he has more control, but he trynna play it off like it's for his safety😅
I've watched The Wire so many times and it still irritates the shit out of me how bad of a mother Delonda is. Raising your son to be a drug dealing soldier that will probably end up dead or in jail instead of trying to break the cycle. Sad part is there are mothers out there doing that exact thing. True love for your child wouldn't allow you to do that. She treats Namond like he's not even her seed. Bey know his son aint cut out for that life. One of the best scenes is when he lays down the law and tells her shes gonna let that boy go. All the dirt Bey did but, he did that one beautiful thing for his son. He showed how much he loved his son and saved his life. This show was so effing good. From beginning to end.
Damn Yolanda is so fuckin cold, easily one of the most evil characters on the show… I realize most of these guys are more or less serial killers but it hits different to have a mom grooming her sons for the streets and the game

Wee bey taken all those charges didn’t make sense to me growing up watching the show because he separated Avon in general from so many bodys avon really never did himself …plus the police an etc wanting Avon so bad make me think wee bey should’ve went outta town earlier and never been on that last mission
this was a phenomenal script and writing .. how ever I felt the could've cleaned up when Omar first ran into Avon when he made him come outside .17:20. One could say he didn't know who Avon was cause it was his first time seeing him ..but once he saw it was him he could've cleaned him .. that part shouldve been writing a little bit better .. I feel like they rushed thru it
