The moment Kokoro was announced to be the final member, i was so relieved 😌 they cannot make Kokoro and Momona not debut together. Momona is too strong just basing from the number of votes but she definitely did not get that all from Hello!Project fans’ support. I agree with you that H!P fandom is not strong. Sure, we are the most loyal out there but i believe Momona got this much votes because H!P fans had been very supportive of her by spreading information about her(like compilation vids about her talents, skills, and funny personality) on twitter etc, and basically promoting her to viewers and that in return, she started making new fans help back her up. Overall, I am so happy with this lineup, a lot of my favorites are here like Miu, Ran, Kokoro, Ayane, Suzu, and of course our girl Momona! ❤
I was also crying when Kokoros name was announced. Like out of all the girls her final ranking is the most surprising. She was very consistent in number 1 and 2 positions and then suddenly dropped in the last two weeks. Not sure what exactly happened but im just soooo relieved that she is in the debut line up. Still can't get over that nerve wracking moment though.
they changed voting system and that's why she dropped probably? previously you could vote for 11 ppl (kokoro was sitting at 1-2 positions then), before the semifinals they changed it for a 2-pick voting (she dropped to 8 then) and before the finals you could vote only for one person so she got 11th place. this means that she sure is popular, she just is 2nd/3rd/4th etc. choice for most people that voted for her, not the first.
as a hello!project fan for more than 15 years, I agree with you that there is no way Momona's votes are only from h!p fans, there are not that many of us hahahahaha btw I'm beyond the moon happy with Momona at no1, seeing how she lacked the screen times, like 'take that you smelly pd!' XD
I’m so happy for this incredible lineup. I watched this show religiously on my own and would’ve loved to share my excitement each week with anyone in real life, but this video makes up for it.
Me and my friend watching this were sad that Momoka didnt debut and were shocked with Ran and Tsuzuki's low ranking But we still enjoied the series, we love giving the girls Nicknames to remember them, Most of them arent particular nice ones that we laugh to each other about but examples are we called Momoka Jennifer because she remined us of Le Sserafims Yunjin's who english name is Jennifer and we called Tsuzuki OG Rank 1 since she was the first rank one
i’m still sad for momoka :(( i was rooting for her ever since she couldn’t get the rap she wanted and chanmina gave her encouragement. i can definitely see the jennifer reference tho lmaoo she has that cool american girl vibe even tho she’s not american😅
I’m so upset Rino, Momoka and Koto didn’t debut ;/ specifically Rino, this was her second survival show where she almost made it but lost in the finale, I would be crushed
Only 9 mn but now I feel like I've actually been following the whole show season somehow lol Really cool video, and congrats on having your faves in the final group! :D
Very cute. Even though you say you forced your friends to watch with you it sounds like they still understood what was happening and had been following up to now, just not quite as screamingly enthusiastic as you 😂
Ughhhh I feel the same abt rino not making it, I had a feeling nano would’ve made it as well esp as a visual but idk, I’m content w the line up and I’m happy to see others support them too!! Nice to meet you fellow me:I fans hehe
Miu Sakurai and Kokoro Kato making it to the final line-up makes me fully stan the group throughout their career. I hope Lapone is a good company and will not let down the girls.
As someone who has been following your gaming channel for a few years and has gotten used to your generally calm and analytical demeanor this was an interesting but delightful watch. I don't really follow or even really understand Idol culture (is that the right phrase?) it's always fun to see people having fun!
CONTEXT: "Produce 101 THE GIRLS" is a Japanese Survival Show where 101(?) (I forgor) girls to compete for a spot in a j-pop group known as ME:I. The video they're reacting to is the host(?) announcing the final line-up of the group.
i desperately need rino, momoka and yuuki to debut somewhere - i beg of you (and yes, there are 4 girls in the debut line-up i would sacrifice for them, but welp can't change the outcome can i)
After watching your video game channel for 5+ years this almost feels like I've intruded on a private part of your life I wasn't supposed to see 😅. While I don't have any interest in Idol culture this was incredibly fun to watch and would probably watch more just because of your sheer enthusiasm ☺
I've watched all SK Produce series, but never really watched any of the series held in CN or JP. But I did try watching this particular series out of curiosity and to support Miu LOL. I was expecting mn*t's usual evil editing style but I'm completely surprised that it's quite the opposite this time prolly bc they have different staff for JP series. I had fun hearing you and your friends' reaction bc me and my friends do the same on discord when we watch year-end kpop award shows 🤣idk why yt algorithm brought me here, but I'm glad
the chinese versions of produce are extremely good but they’re heavily rigged in terms of screentime, cf deals and ranking results especially towards girls who are in more well-known popular entertainment companies
I’m so excited & nervous at the same time waiting for me:i concept reveal, both musically and visually. My wishful thinking would be something like a spiritual successor to Iz*one: elegant, synth heavy, distinct brass sound. But looking at the lineup, they would definitely have their own twist.
I don't think there were any specific favouritism from the broadcast staff.. I mean even if it were under Mnet's show they still have different staff behind the Japan production team. Contestant like Momona and Ayane even had less screen time than the other eliminated trainee.. mostly the staff just shown whoever has the most interesting back story. Also there were many factors that made the last 2 weeks ranking having a big difference than the usual rank. The change of voting system from 11 votes to 2 votes and last 1 vote only is the main reason. Many kokoro votes were gain from Momona's fan and rebloom fans.. there were even bad rumours spreading about Kokoro just weeks before the finals. Kokoro was lucky enough that her fandom still works hard to helped her in the final lineup.
The favoritism was mostly towards Ran, Miu and Rinon. They really pushed Ran to rank #1 but they were far off lol (I think a lot of Ran stans voted for Suzu bc of her dramatic drop the week before; 18th without benefits so that explains her #9 rank). They clearly didn't want Ayane and Momona to be the center, hence the lack of screentime.
@@nmixx.changeupletsgo to be fair, the reason why rinon was in 2nd place wasn't because that she got many screentime throughout the show.. it was because she's been a trend in Japan ever since her Bijin performance. Her hometown government even support her by promoting her on SNS.. she was liked by many youngsters who mostly didn't even watch the whole show.
@@ririkyoriori real I only watched the stages and not the episodes but Rinon was one of my picks since the start just based on her performance and style/look
I'll be honest I never really got into idols or jpop/kpop in general. Only on a very superficial level (as in I like some of their songs, lol) and I was a bit lost watching this. But your hapiness was very contagious and I still watched the whole video, feeling entertained the whole time! Some of my favorite parts were: "What kind of 1984 thing is this?" Insane comment had me wheezing alot. "I just need ... [insert your favorite] ... and I'll be okay..." literally me in every casting show/show where you advance to the next round. "Remember to smile!" 🥺 "I feel like I am burning calories by sitting here." 😂 "I would celebrate more, but everybody here sleeping." Also very relatable.
I don't know what's going on but I'm here for it. By the way, if you ever decide to force your friends to play vidya games with you, A Way Out is a great story-driven co-op game.
I'm just too sad for Rin, I didn't even watch the last episode and so on, I don't know how Rinon climbed that hard tho. And I'm happy for Suzu, Suzu's probably be the only one that will make me stay and support the group (if I like the concept)
I feel like the lack of screen time actually worked in Momona and Ayane's favor, it made the fans more feral and protective. At least thats true for me haha. I don't know how many times i've watched their fancams. And I got tired of the girls they kept on shoving to my face, I was so sick of Ebihara's woe is me i'm so talented they kept giving me adlibs shtick, and I skipped Kokona's whole bit
I was genuinely upset when I realized Kokoro was on the verge of not debuting. I almost suspect they fudged the numbers to get that 11th place cliff-hanger moment. Maybe I missed some drama among her fans? She held a pretty firm grasp on that 2nd place position all throughout. And then the week before the finale she dropped to 8th and now to 11th?
She started to really fall in ranking after her Omokage performance-she’s very lucky her fans worked really hard to keep her in top 11 as girls like Yuuki (and obv Rinon) had a sudden influx of fans during the last two performances.
kokoro never really had a huge one pick voting result from the get go. most of her votes were filler from other fandoms ++ a lot of ppl dropped her for other trainees like sakaguchi rino, tanaka yuuki, and kato kagura who started gaining more attention around the last couple of performances or they dropped her to focus on their main higher ranking picks. kokoro was very lucky to debut and it’s obvious the pds wanted her to debut since they pushed her a lot so i think that’s the main reason why they didn’t release the interim results before the result bc they likely felt that another trainee (rino or kagura) would’ve pushed her out of the top 11.
@@LenaKolchuk im mean in the face if your not from oriental background the face structures are very similar unless you see them on a regular basis to diffrentiate them they blend unless its just me ???
