damn, i wish i would've started wrestling earlier as a kid. this is such a dope sport. I'm way too old for this now but hopefully my children will love it. this is such an awesome educational video. great work guys! keep it up!
A guy on my middle school team placed 3rd at Fargo and went on to wrestle for Harvard. His dad only wrestled for a year in HS, but had the same passion for the sport and used to drive him x-country to various tournaments. Glad you discovered the sport and its community, it is truly awesome, and I'm sure your kids will be champs if you support them.
you're not too old, maybe you can't get as good as you would had you started earlier but you damn sure can get a lot better than you are now, there may also be some acrobatics involved and difficult moves that you may not be able to do but you can still do basic stuff and that's plenty
I don't blame Dake for pulling this maneuver. Taylor would have done the same if he knew he could have recouped in time. Granted, Tayler and Dake's situations were/are vastly different, but the bottom line is that the effort to bide time looks bad. Wrestling can be an awfully unforgiving sport, which Taylor is experiencing now. And despite what many of us think, this knee injury could put a dent in his push to an Olympic gold. My point, these guys put everything into finding success at this level and when a situation of this nature surfaces, the wrestler does everything to ensure self preservation. But I understand the beef. His accomplishments brought him this time -- other wrestlers wouldn't have been so lucky.
@@matthewhorizon6050 yes I agree, Dake is very smart about his moves. I would not advise against trying to wait for his wrestle off. I'm just happy to see the wrestling community gaining a voice and starting to question more things. holding the best guys accountable for giving the fans what they want to see.
not a wrestler but the breakdowns and strategy that ben askren and this guy are awesome. can be applied to lots of hobbies in life. reads, setups, and options
Funny stuff! Burroughs hit the double leg on Dake so many times at will it makes me laugh when I watch this... did Burroughs beat him for the Olympic trials for 8 years or 10?
Jay X Jay yes but it’s kinda pointless because it takes a lot of energy for no points scored when I feel im about to be picked up I do the windshield wiper method it’s pretty good
Anyway adults can still wrestle? I’m almost 20 now but had a heart attack at 18 due to Lupus Anticoagulant, I gained about 50 pounds since then and weigh around 215 now. I just know wrestling is and will always be my favorite sport and is the best method for me losing weight.
Considering hes one of the few people who's ever managed to beat Jordan and he has gotten a 4 pointer off Jordan shooting a double I think he showed it pretty well against him lol.
Hes gonna smoke derringer. Also if he already has the spot whats he have to gain by wrestling him. Maybe derringer should out himself into a spot that dake has to wrestle him
GreyMatter121 this guy a world champ, four time NCAA national champ in four weight divisions ..... maybe he knows some other things to “add” to your “under hook” game 👍👍👍💪💪👌
