😊 Ok wow! 1st. That is a James Brown beat and a Stylistic sample - the song is full of Nostalgia. Then you have Mary singing to a higher power, with those gospel tinged vocals - it is perfection! I was not expecting this reaction, because the song was not such cross over hit. But you did everything that the song commanded and let it take you away, which is awesome to see!

I love this song. What’s not to love. It’s Mary… it’s heartwarming… its melodies are already familiar to us from parents/grandparents playing old school music… it’s perfectly produced… it’s everything.

I’m so glad that this song was put in the list. This is my favorite Mary J Blige song of all time. It’s my 2nd most played song on Spotify ever. The album version of this song is better imo. The commenter has the same taste as me because this list has some of my favorite songs by her. I have a feeling #1 will be either “Family Affair” or “Be Without You”. I will say this and people are probably going to hate me for it but I got to say it. Mary j Blige can hold a note but she's not that great of a singer. The best thing she does is background vocals. Her background vocals are stellar.
