watching this in November of 2020. 94000 fans packed into memorial stadium seems like a dream right now. I hope this kind of atmosphere is possible in the future.
I like how in the 1st brawl the Nebraska players were trying to stop the brawl (minus Mitchell and Gregory) and all the Miami players went over to beat on both of them instead of trying to pry their players off the two. Stay classy Miami!
This is a spectacular video recap of the game. I love what you did with it. While watching it I got chills thinking back to how I felt while sitting in the stadium!
This was the last time I have seen a real Nebraska team in many many years. Bo Pelini got some of Osborne's fire back, but not quite all. May their next coach bring them success
I was at this game as a 12 year old with my dad. When we beat them, my dad started to man cry and I already watched the loses we had in the 80s and I understood his pain a bit. This was a sort of payback. We have season tickets. I was at the 300th sellout with suh. My family was at the 100th sellout and 200th sellout. My uncle played under Devaney. We love this place. We farm this place. I love and love Nebraska football. We will rise to the top. Gos bless us
When that fight broke out after that interception, that was the loudest I have ever heard that stadium get while being inside the stadium. It was awesome, all 10 Miami fans were dead quiet.
Does anyone have or know of a video or series of pictures that shows the pre-game production from the Boneyard in all its magnificent glory? I was sitting in the south stadium, heard a huge cheer, looked over and saw the Blackshirts logo banner and the "Welcome To Your Worst Nightmare" banners, which was awesome! But apparently I missed the shredding of the Miami logo and I would love to see it!
Wow! This was a great highlight clip! I like how you show big plays by both teams and how you add stuff in that showed how the game felt like at the time - like all the personal fouls and everything. Kudos! I'm watching all your highlights vids right now
I miss the heck out of a physical Nebraska team like this and THIS is what I want to see when they visit Minneapolis in a few weeks. Also a friendly reminder that the Miami Hurricanes are a dirty and trashy program who only play for themselves.
It is real weird to hear Miami versus Nebraska. City vs State, not a fair comparison. Sure a state will beat a city. Why not say Miami vs Lincoln, isnthat more sane.?
Yep I was there and as a diehard Cornhuskers fan who has gone to a lot of home games there I would say that crowd was the best ever that I have experienced as a Cornhuskers fan. Honestly, it gave me chills before the kick off we honored the 94 Cornhuskers, but then when that all crap started happening, it brought up all my extra anger and hatred for the hurricanes that I had for them when we had to play them in Miami back in the 80s and yeah, this video definitely brought back a lot of those emotions for me that I was feeling on that very special night and the hurricanes did not know what hit them because they are walking into a true hurricane of angry Cornhuskers fans who are looking for at least a small measure of revenge on that night that we got from them Oh yeah, and by the way, the Nebraska Cornhuskers we will not start the fight but we will make sure to end the damn fight and yeah, by the way, the Miami hurricanes picked on the wrong team in fanbase that night and paid the price as they got destroyed so always go big red
Bo Pilini had heart. He should not have been let go. He fired his team's up and they responded to his leadership. That's what a good coach does. We were always in the hunt with him at the helm. These soft alumni etc obviously didn't realize that that is the way you win. Playing with heart is the key to success.
Rumor has it that they’re trying to make the game against CU this year a night game. I think if that happens then something similar to this will go down
Just curious someone tales a cheap shot at Miami's quarterback, and an a o- lineman comes up to have his back but its its Miami's fault for starting it ? Yeah that makes since .
The play was over and he was shoved in the back , that's not football that's being a coward and I guess you could call it a illegal block in the back then. It's over and done with nebraska executed their game plan better that night and made adjustments where as Miami ' s coaching staff didn't
jeremy allen Just curious, did you miss all of miamis cheap shit or are you just picking the only one you could possibly make a case for. lmao. Miami got beat at there own game. Played dirty and got it back in spades. Randy was getting his legs hit on low blocks the entire game. those are illegal. he was getting held and hands to the face all game, also penalties. Kaaya needs to learn the art of head on a swivel. lmao. Gregory's blocks on him were clean. He buried him on that last one but it was still clean. and the play wasn't over when he blasted him. go back and check. no whistle.
Wow you're trying to use 1980's logic for a new game . I watched the whole game and he did nothing but jaw and instigate with the o-line all night . The hit on kaaya was unnecessary and in the back . I understand that Miami isn't perfect and had there plays too , but yall are acting like Nebraska was innocent of dirty cheap shots , the game was chippy , so I'm gonna defend my team and tell the other side of the story. And like you won by making second half adjustments we didn't make . See ya next year when you come to Miami so we can return the favor.
