Your breakdowns of everything in detail is EXACTLY what i need to see. Im about to start a LP with another company, but, idk now. Your last 2 videos you only ran a smidge over 1k miles and took home less than $1k.

Having just found your channel couple of days ago, I have questions. Has anyone told you about QUARTERLYS? You must make a deposit based on how much you make (and yes predictions are very hard) and deposit said amount with the IRS. Figure 15% is a good start point. Keep an eye on them. If you are empty or light lift the front axle on that trailer to boost fuel mileage. More to come....

Yes I'm aware of the quarterly deposit. I havent done it yet but im setting up the account on the IRS website this week. I will file mine soon...

Hey, I’m enjoying your videos. I have a comment and a question… First, the comment, your first week you were off for truck repairs right? I don’t think you included that on your days off spreadsheet. Question is, why are you required to pay $400/mo for a Security Deposit? Thanks for your time.

The repairs only took a few hours and the original couple days off I hadn't even taken a load yet so I decided to not count that. I hadn't even really started the lease yet... The Security deposit drops to 100 when the truck payment starts.

One thing that I started tracking above what you are doing is logged per hour profit. Might consider that as well as another data point all onduty and drive time is what I input and divide it by my weekly profit number.

Lease operators still get paid by on duty hour? Isn't their pay scale different?

@@DarrkMane they get paid by the mile. I’m saying that I, also get paid by the mile but like to know what I’m making per logged hour as well to compare it to other jobs that’re out there.

@Drowe218 Well, if you're OTR. Pretty much on duty 24 hours because you're responsible for the load. Lol, WELL BELOW HOURLY MINIMUM WAGE.

@Drowe218 I mean there are pros to it. I save money on commute to work. Fuel would run me around $600.00 a month (California). Not to mention the horrendous traffic. I can literally just find a parking spot and shut down if I'm tired during OTR.

Since Knight and Swift are the same, would you know if the lease program is the same as far as all of the deductions and such?

Swift’s lease programs are basically identical

I believe they are virtually identical. But there are likely some small differences. I would ask the Swift Lease Coordinator

Has Knight raise the truck speed limiters I drove for them back in 95 as a casual driver, mainly for stick time, at the time I was partime driving for a private company hauling explosives for firework shows. Back then Co truck where limited to 55. Made for a long haul going to AZ 😂😂

Limited at 65 MPH with a passing gear at 68. Owner/Lease ops are 68/70 though

sorry to say but as an ex owner operator now retired, back in 1990 I woudld not haul a load for under 1.50 a mile, hauled loads from Midland pa to ltv steel in cleveland for 480.00 /128 miles to mill reloaded out of the same mill back to Midland pa for $380.00 then same day another load back to ltv for $480.00 . do the numbers your going to lose your truck in the near future good luck, love capitalism

i guess for inflation thats pretty good for tha time i live in pittsburgh n run outa all these miles and i get nothing less than 3.30 a mile if im runnin short runs like that its damn near $5 a mile if not more.

That is not Net profit..It costs money to eat and you have income tax an SS taxes. You can make more money sweeping floors.Go back to company driving you will make more money..Lease purchase is a scam.

You would have to spend money to eat if you were a company driver and as a lease you can write off per diem please tell us you know nothing about doing taxes 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

@@davetruth_ actually they changed that a couple years ago that company drivers wouldnt qualify for per diem unless the company gave it to you but study up on tax code and bless ur heart 🤣🤣🤣
