This newsreel documents the reemergence of what was even then one of America's most historic resorts after its use as a World War II Army hospital. Stunningly redecorated by the famed New York interior decorator Dorothy Draper, the hotel reopened to a grand party that April which was the topic of conversation in high society circles for years to come.
