That's how Weekend Update's humor has always been, with the exception of Dennis Miller's, Norm Macdonald's, and Colin Quinn's. All they did was turn Weekend Update into their respective stand-up sets.

This was another week where Che has admitted his material and delivery aren't working. Time for him to go.
