My Mum taught me to always clean from top to bottom: dust then vacuum, mirrors then countertops etc. 👆👇 so if dirt drops down you pick it up in the next step👍
Allana, I would consider using microfiber cloths for cleaning. When you spray the products, you then have to wipe them with water and then wipe them down dry. The microfiber made especially for windows are the best for wiping down dry. You then can just wash them and don’t waste so much paper towels. And I hope Dejan gives you a hand in all of this. ❤
that was so chill! Loved the video! I realized that you are cleaning with paper towels. Is that normal? haha I/we usually clean with microfibre cloths. It really makes a difference! And you'll not have so much waste, as you wash them & re-use them again.
Came back today to let you know that changing the pillowcases every 2-3 days does indeed make a difference! I have very sensitive skin and this has really helped in the process. Also, pls name a more satisfying thing than bed with freshly changed sheets ☺️
Nothing beats a gas stove. Your grates are pretty heavy and hard to clean but there's easier to clean stoves on the market so if you do reconsider, don't ever change from gas to electric. Change the stove instead
hey beautiful quick tip I learned for cleaning the bathtub -- use a scrubbie with a long handle. So much easier on your back and less paper towels! I like this one but many brands make it -- OXO Good Grips Extendable Shower, Tub and Tile Scrubber - 42 inches.
I’m a “leave them wrinkly” kind of girl. My linen sheets are my summer sheets, so they get washed more often when it’s hot. Have you ever tried flannel sheets in the winter? Cozy!
Omg I HATE my electric oven…don’t think it’s easier to clean because it’s flat. Food gets hardened and you have to scrape but be careful not to scratch. The burner I use the most never looks 100% clean. It’s actually so much easier to clean a gas range you can take the pieces out and thoroughly scrub them.
I lift the grates on my gas stove every time I cook. If I'm wiping my counters, I'm giving the stove a wipe. A wet cloth with warm soapy water does the trick. Gas iis definitely the superior way to cook!
I love your cleaning videos !!! Makes me feel less alone in the not “super instagramable” house ! Stay you forever! (Even for us not so esthetic girlies 😂 and you are a good home owner - you try !!! And yay for crocs time Living Dijans editing !!!
I just love your channel. Also, in the beginning of this video I can't stop looking at your mug (really cute) and how cozy and yummy your coffee looks. Have you already shared your favorite coffee? Somehow it just looks so rich and delicious. It's the little things. Hahaha!
Hey Allana! You probably have a bunch of these comments already, but try using towels instead of paper towels while cleaning. Soo much better for the environment and also Blueland makes amazing household cleaners that are more sustainable. Once you use up what you already have maybe give them a shot! Nice little simple switch to make… especially since you can influence the people that watch you to make better cleaning choices. 💜
Maybe I'm making this up, but I could have sworn my neat freak mother had like nonstick teflon sheet things on her gas oven surface? Not really sure what the purpose was since it's not like they vaporize spills, but i guess they'd lift off and you can wipe them more easily in the sink?
Wait…. There is something to the tag on the right?!?! I always place the fitted sheet w/ the tag on the right. I had no idea people change their pillowcases that often. I’m a once a week gal.
I LOVE these videos… rewatched that duvet cover part about a million times and still don’t quite get it… we got rid of our cover bc it was so annoying to put back on… and we couldn’t agree about which end the buttoned side goes on (head or foot of bed). And as a mom of 3 with a 200+lb dog I can confirm the less shit you have in the house (Knick knacks.. etc) the CALMER and CLEANER the space feels.. highly recommend.
Induction is the way to go! We just moved and left the gas stove behind. I have all linen everything and every time I make my bed I spray my duvet with lavender water and smooth it out. It’s very satisfying. This was fun to watch. I finished my Christmas shopping and my feet are killing me and this was peaceful to watch.
Cooking on gas is a leveled up experience from induction. We just left induction in favor of gas and wow I didn’t know what I was missing. Pain in the ass to clean but worth it for the higher quality cooking!
Absolutely!! Every chef would tell you this! We used to have electric in our old apartment and my husband was miserable (he's a chef) now we have a gas and he's happy again 😅
I wouldn’t even question that, we know that Dejan is the best hubby for our gal (even if he’s originally from the Balkans where patriarchy is everything)
Alllana, I’m with you and hate deep cleaning but every Sunday rain, snow or shine I clean my bedroom and bathroom, clean sheets and all. For me it sets the mood for the rest of the week. Snuggling up in fresh, crisp white sheets to start the week is a game changer for me. I have to admit I iron (not steam) my sheets and pillow cases, it just makes everything looks so much better 😂. So happy to see we use the same laundry detergent, my girl, in another way ❤❤. BTW, Parachutes products are Bae, pricy 💵💵💵 but so worth it.
You can't ever go back once you've had a gas stove! I know people whove done it and they regret it! Just do a quick wipe down after each use and then scrub it once a week
if you wear everyday clothes and use bathroom products, be careful because you may stain your clothes if the products contain bleach.. I unfortunately ruined some of my clothes because of this 😕
It's hilarious to me when watching people clean how different cultures impact everything. Here in Brazil we do the most when cleaning. Splashing water everywhere, bleach, detergent a milion different products (getting poisoned in the process ofc) and scrubbing with a broom. Then you guys just spray something and wipe with a paper towel. My mom almost fainted here when she saw that 😂
My husband is Brazilian and we lived there in 2021. I was surprised how many families had housekeepers working full time in their house. Ours came 2x a week and cleaned the WHOLE house including our laundry and organizing all drawers and the entire kitchen in the time it would take our US cleaner to do 2 rooms and me, just the bathroom! Lol. Brazilians are amazing and their techniques and speed at doing things are 🙌🏽🙌🏽 But, lol on the bleach and chemicals- I brought some US products to help keep those fumes down ;) Xo 🇧🇷❤
In Bosnia and Herzegovina we too scrub ceiling to floor with every “weapon” we have, top it with disinfectant 😭 I actually think that this summer I got poisoned by a detergent 😂😂 fun, right?!
Mind blown. How do you cope with only one set of sheets?! I’d have at least 8.I take them off and they sit for a week before I wash them 😂 Plus I have summer and winter weights. The sheets I use in winter are completely different in thread counts and fabric.
I try to look nice everyday even on cleaning days but I always end up looking like a mess after….WHY 😭 Anyway, this is inspiring and calming. Editing is 👍👍👍
The sheet thoughts are so relevant to my current life as a 31 year old lmao - I just bought my first “grown up” parachute sheets and duvet set yesterday and cried for my wallet but am so excited! Went for linen but hopefully can get that cloud set too soon 😍 also def always have a 2nd set of sheets! esp as a lady I like to have a light set and a dark/colored set 😛
So confusing to me haha. I literally have like at least 3 different winter cozy beddings and sheets and like something between 5 and 10 summer versions haha
i can't understand that either... it's the second influencer in less than 2 months that says that only have one bed set... they have so many (expensive) things, so much money but can not afford another one "because it's expensive"... i have some more fancy sets but also some from the Supermarket... maybe it's because where i live we do not use driers, and the clothes dry on the sun, and in winter it can take more than 1 day... but if you have an accidet like spill something... what do they do? not even to metion if you have children or pets...
First of all, don’t feel like you have to actually put on clothes for us to clean haha, that’s part of what makes you “real”, the fact you show who you are and how you feel and you don’t put on a show for the internet. I also understand needing to get dressed when you work from home to feel put together, so you do you girl haha.
*Great content 👏.. I am highly favoured, $60K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church, God bless America❤️🇺🇸*
I started off small trading with Mrs Maria luisa Abrams in 2022 and now my life is good. I thank God the most He alone made it possible for the opportunity to come my way.😊
To whoever is reading this keep going, you're doing fine! No matter how slow your progress, each new week is filled with tiny steps forward. Be proud of yourself you got this! 🫶🏻
