Here’s a word for today from Psalm 32:8, the Lord says:
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you."
I feel like we are living that out today. The Lord sees us. He will instruct us. His eye is upon us, and he has incredible plans for us. We’re discovering that. We are having new opportunities come our way and new partners. We had 10 new partners that we onboarded this week alone all in one session. It was so exciting. Pastors and nonprofit leaders are making a difference in our city and we are helping provide materials from our warehouse.
One of the things I want to mention is the name change to Capital Compassion when writing checks. We are identifying with that title now, Capital Compassion. It defines us. The Lord is instructing us, He’s showing us what to do, He is instructing us. Whenever you make a check out, if it is a check that you write, make it to Capital Compassion. That is very important for us now and maintaining that identity. And mail it to PO Box 276267, Sacramento, CA 95827. It is a very critical part of our opportunity to stay connected. Any online giving is unchanged. The same process is used through SecureGive and it is all connected to Capital Compassion. There are no challenges or changes with online giving.
We know that the giving statements for last year are ready to come your way! They are in the mail. We’ve been having some questions as to some who haven’t received them yet. It should be any day. if you haven’t received yours yet and it has created a challenge for you, please be sure to call 916-856-5683 and we can send a digital copy your way if that is helpful or necessary. We are here to serve you and to stay connected.
We have an event this month on Thursday, February 22, in Oak Park. Friends Of Neighborhood have invited us to come and have a Bible study. I have a chance to share that with others. I had an invite to preach at another church coming up in the month of March as well. We’re gonna have more of those opportunities and will let you know about them and stay connected to you that way. Gather with me on February 22, at 6:30pm in Oak Park this month.
We have a homeless outreach this Saturday. What an incredible opportunity to go and give love to people that are in great need. We also have another event this month on Tuesday, February 27, to a charter school with families that are very underserved. We will be doing a grocery giveaway and passing out some home goods at this event. This partnership with the group of charter schools is growing. So many things are happening. It is thrilling to see what God is doing.
He sees us. He has plans for us and He is showing us the way to go. I love to do this with you. We can stay connected through Jesus, through the love we have for him, and for our community, and for each other. Anything that you have on your heart to do, the Lord will open up doors and opportunities for that will come to fruition. We are seeing that happen each and every day. Thank you for being a part of it! We are excited about this year and about the moment that we’re in. Can't wait to see what God is going to do.
