We just finished up packing groceries for 1500 people that will be served during this season at Harvest Festivals benefitting two churches. We had over 30 of our Capital volunteers join with other volunteers in Sacramento and we packed 1500 grocery bags in under 2 hours. It is people's lives that will be changed. They will see who Jesus is because of the love that gets expressed to them. We are making a difference in this community. It is a kingdom mindedness and we are helping others by connecting other churches to one another and believers in the body of Christ to each other. This is the body of Christ working together here tonight in the most profound and beautiful way.
On Saturday we have a homeless outreach of our own. We have 30 volunteers going to the streets where we have our own bags of groceries that we are taking and delivering with love and compassion. Compassion is what is in our hearts and it's what Jesus has called us to be and to do - to share His love everywhere we can. You can help! Donations help. Volunteering helps. And we are seeing God do some powerful things. We will continue to tell you these stories and showing you the things that are happening that are beyond us. It's all about God's plan and His purpose and we are going to be right in the middle of it. Thank you for being a part of Capital Compassion, our outreach ministry.
