Lol I know this is old and you probably don’t need a passport anymore but for the future you can take them at home by yourself and print them out to bring to the passport agency. You just need to make sure to have a white background and now jewels or headwear… Atleast in the US, not sure about everywhere else. I like this option because I get to take as many shots as I want until I’m satisfied and you can also do minimal editing to fix any blemish etc.
