This is probably so fucked up to say, but who knows? I’m not in the right mindset right now. My Dad has brain cancer, and I moved to the Island to help take care of him. I was having the worst fucking day today, I was crying nonstop. But watching your vlogs was really soothing today, and they’ve been comforting. I guess it’s the fact that you’ve been so open and honest about your struggles with anxiety and loneliness, and knowing that I’m not alone in those feelings was super helpful. I moved to a small community where I’m isolated and have no friends here. And watching my Dad deteriorate in front of me, I just couldn't handle it today. So, thank you for taking the time to make these videos and for sharing your personal experiences. I really needed the comfort. ❤

Hi Melissa 🤍sharing my perspective as a long time subscriber. Originally it made sense for you to leave downtown as you were living there during covid. Now, it is the perfect time for you to relocate to downtown. I personally feel you have outgrown the place you live and it is this contributing to your lack of fulfillment and purpose which triggers anxiety. Allow life to unfold naturally but being in the right environment is critical to that process.

Ughh this vlog is sooo relatable.. I just moved and feel like im starting over w/ friendships, and making career changes too and wanting to do different things. Life’s confusing sometimes. I feel like it always usually works out when we trust our intuition and follow our hearts. Its tryin to enjoy the confusion that’s hard sometimes . So many possibilities w/new beginnings though 🎉

You’ve realized the biggest shift already - and you already know what to do, you just gotta do it, even if you’re scared or worried of the outcome. Taking a leap for you when you know this is what your soul truly needs is one of the most freeing feelings. I was single for 4 years, moved to a new place, wasn’t even looking for anything as I was so used to being alone, and met my now husband. It’s now 7 years later and it’s crazy how I was doing all these things and the universe was truly guiding and re directing me. It’s okay to feel lost and out of place, life also has those ebbs and flows. Appreciate you being so transparent and vulnerable and know that you’re not alone. I’d say don’t sell this place as having this place be a rental income is only a positive. Invest a bit more into a place downtown and start fresh! Maybe do a part time barista gig like 2 days a week? Something where you’ll meet new people but don’t have to commit to anything full time aside from your socials. Believe in yourself, and give yourself grace - you’ve overcome so much in the 6-7 years I’ve been watching you and your growth has been amazing. And know that at one point in your life, all these what if’s will come to make sense as they’ll come full circle❤ sending you all the best vibes!

Totally agree with what you said at the beginning of the video! I 'wasn't looking' for a relationship for a few years and didn't meet anyone during that time. Once I started focusing on dating, I met my boyfriend within a couple weeks. It doesn't 'happen when you least expect it' for everyone!

Love the longer vlogs and life chats. They are really relatable and calming. I’m wondering- why an all girls gym? I’m married but I tell all of my single friends to join a gym. I’ve had several really handsome and nice seeming guys ask me for my number (not in a full of myself way). I think it’s a great way to meet someone that is into fitness and just an easy way to be around a lot of other guys. Also, I think a part time job is super smart and that you might love the normality of it all and social aspect with coworkers. Anyways, love your videos and have been watching for many years! 💛💛

I would start by looking for a job, worst case scenario you can always do a job in marketing, you have more than enough experience. I think finding a job or at least applying for some will help you to feel more confident with moving. If you sell your apartment you should buy another one instantly. (That’s what I would do) Sometimes we have this inner urge to go somewhere and so something, just do it, worst thing you have great content & experience. I love moving content & you are kind of THE chill, constantly moving „online friend“ I stalk 😂 I love that you speak so openly about „everything“ with us. You are Not overstating about dating or even doing too much. I’m turning 34 this Friday & am not even on dating apps, barely even leaving the house, have not been on a date since my last relationship ended in 2020. you talking about dating & dating struggles actually gives me the motivation to even try and date or meet someone. Keep an open mind but if you're looking for a job, a serving job could be amazing. Very social, you can get dressed up & feel cute, great tips & could be a way to meet someone special! Even part-time a couple days a week.

Get a job as a barista! Its so easy to learn, so fun, and you meet SOO many people/make connections. The hours are flexible, pay is good ((get to keep tips). I love it.

(Don't do it near roads.) 3. Google nearby conventions centers. Check their calendar of events to see if anything looks interesting. 4. Go to boat shows. 5. Ask a guy in a nice department store which watch or sunglasses you should buy for your brother or father. 6. Go to a garage/dealership in a nice neighborhood to have your car detailed/serviced. 7. Go to wine tastings. 8. Go to farmers markets. 9. Shop for a new phone, TV or computer at an electronics store. 10. Ask friends if their friends are single.

Melissa, you will meet someone. I assume you are younger than me (i just passed the 40's mark) but in your 30s when finding "your person" becomes more like a mission. Don't let those comments get into your head. Do what you think you should be doing. Patience and persistence are the key. I was using one app and went through many matches/dates and I was exhausted. But just when I was least expecting/nearly giving up, I met my now husband (via the app). Things will happen and they happen in your life's own rhythm. Just keep believing in yourself and making those wishes at 11:11. And keep in mind the most important relationship you have for the rest of your life is the one with yourself. Even if you find your person, you are still your own individual with your own personal goals to achieve. Best of luck to you.

This is just my opinion so please don't hate me (and I know you didn't ask for opinions Melissa but just thought I'd share what I think since you're sharing about your goals, social life etc.). I think getting a part-time job is great and it's a good idea to move downtown. The monthly income from the part-time will definitely help with your living expenses (potentially higher in downtown). This way, you won't be stressing out financially as you're still trying to figure out a lot of things in life. However, do remember that your well-being is priority. Do part-time but make sure that it doesn't take up all your time that you need for yourself (mentally & physically) and Tika of course. As for creative things (eg. starting a new business), you can plan and set goals for this but don't pressure yourself to achieve them now. Like you said and I think a lot of people have experienced this as well..when you start a business, you don't really make any profit. Not for a few years at least. It's great to have this as your goal but I think with you moving downtown, finding a place, higher living expenses, making new connections..I think it's best to focus on that first before you embark on a new business. Honestly, sometimes you cant do the most "responsible" thing. You gotta live life a little and sometimes learn to let go. Rent out you apartment and rent downtown, you are young and single... you wont regret it, its likely you will regret being stuck in the burbs. Also I think your idea of dating might be skewed. Date lots!!! have fun and dont focus on people meeting checks off your list before being open to going out with guys. People will surprise you

If I were you I would sell your place & buy another place downtown. Initially it might mean paying more, but it’s better than paying someone else rent money. Maybe you can go on a short trip with a close friend & have some fun…I find sometimes it’s these fun trips with friends is what helps me figure out things…especially when you can chat about your concerns & etc. Or even a solo trip with Tika? Perhaps you can also try some energy healing. I think using white sage in your place & clearing out the negative energy with windows open…go to a sound bath…meditate. I don’t know but I feel like you need some kind of big energy shift (I do too actually after my mom’s passing in April). Anyhow am praying for your sense of clarity with what to do with your life & your happiness!! Don’t worry things will turn out better for you, you just have to believe it!!🙏❤️
