Oh yeah!!! It is always a joy to begin the New Year with a slew of fantastic novels- I am interested in Mandated Smiles by Chase Will, and will have to add it to my wishlist!!! I am so thrilled you enjoyed the reread of 'Salem's Lot- it is a prized book on my shelf, to be sure!!!!! 😀 Thank you, as always, for the fantabulous content- may you, the effervescent Mrs. Paige and the uber fun Chaos/Havoc have a swell rest of the week and until next time, jovial Mr. Joshua!!!!! 🎉 😀

OOOOH I loved Poking Holes...heck yeah that is a good rec. Never read any Larry Niven! I really need too. Oh interesting to see what you think of Episode Thirteen having read it physically. That is amazing that you really appreciated it in that format as well! Excellent! LMAO Three grammatical errors already, that's impressive. Hahahaha you made the right choice, you gotta DNF crap like that, life is too short. Great video as always!

Larry Niven had some really original ideas and was good at mixing science with entertainment. Some of those guys back in the day stuck to the science and kind of forgot to tell a decent story. Niven never seemed to suffer from that. Did you listen to Episode Thirteen? What did you think? Hey, if you get bored and want to rage around the house yelling at cats then I can send Savage Report to you. The rage you feel is guaranteed to keep you warm in the Canadian cold.

"I lied." -- made laugh out loud. What was your beef with 'Salem's Lot. Your GR review doesn't illuminate. And does the other vampire book explain why she can't just regenerate her broken body? And, seriously, the original King fan ranked TWO books higher than the King this week? Wow, I feel I must alert Mr. King about the loss of his number two fan (number one, of course, being Annie Wilkes). Oh, wait, she was Paul Sheldon's number one fan. Never mind.

There were a few turns of phrase that felt oddly amateurish, if I'm being honest. They mostly occurred in the beginning of the book, but it threw me off a little. Aside from that, there's a scene or two that I felt came off as unnecessarily cruel for no reason. I know that sounds silly, but I expect perfect from King and will accept no less haha. It was still a fantastic book though, moreso because of the less-than-traditional ending.
