Vietnamese Grilled Pork (Thit Nuong) Recipe:
Marinate 3 Pork Chops in
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp thick soy sauce (or 1 tsp molasses + 1 tbsp soy sauce(
1/8 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp oil
Mix together
add 2 tbsp minced lemongrass
2 tbsp minced shallots
mix together and add pork chops. Cover well and let sit 1/2 hour - overnight.
Grill the pork chops on each side for 5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145ºF. Let rest at least 3 minutes before serving. Pork is safe and most delicious when cooked to an internal
temperature of 145 degrees F, followed by a 3-minute
rest. Pork should look pink, not white.
Serve over lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled daikon and carrots, green onion relish, pepper
