I’ve seen them live but wtf are you guys talking about This song sounds amazing on the album, massive production choices they made True artistry. This live thing is also awesome but wtf are you saying Def not nearly as amazing as the album, but it is still fricking awesome. Okay I’ve said my peace I’ll go now Back to my dungeon of shame and social rejection
@@babesmagee1 and Jennifer brown , ya, to what both of you said. Like she saw me hurting because she was leaving me, and came back just to say she knows I’m hurting to see her leave. But by the time she came back to tell me that, I was already better, and her telling me that just brought me back down again.
I remember back in the day my gf and I would take psychedelic mushrooms, lie in the sun and listen to Ween. This was the best experience in my life, nothing comes even close to the pure happiness and carelessness. It makes me sad but I'm glad I got to experience it
That sounds amazing. I like doing that and listening to boards of canada. Totally different style but I know what you mean. I love going to the lake and taking my mp3 player in the summer
First time I saw these guys live, one of Claude's drumsticks went flying out of his hand. Without missing a beat, he played with one drumstick while his other hand fumbled around for another. He twirled it around a little and began slaying it with two hands again. The man is a legend.
first time i heard this was in lock down in an Indiana state prison! my bunkee was a helluva vocalist. id heard ween several times but hearing it acapello for the first time and in that setting was just… one of those things that was just larger then life! dont mistake the odd goofiness for lack of talent. these cats are ahead of their time! Solid!
Sensory deprivation is a bitch itself, my old cellie did a crazy trick with toilet paper after we'd been locked up for almost a month together and we both laughed until we cried. No books, nothing.
I would agree. Tons of great bands out there but once you dig into the Ween catalog, their unreleased music is honestly just as good or better than the songs that made it onto albums. It sounds crazy to most ppl, but Ween is also my favorite band. ever.
Joel Brudowsky Where would one find this "unreleased" music? I just started using the computer, or what I guess would qualify as one, "hand me down" laptop from the wife. I probably sound like a geezer, but, can I get these guys on vinyl, and what site? Appreciate the feed back.
Gary Kovach learn how to use torrents. download utorrent or a different client. search google for "ween discography torrent." if you want a legal avenue, try itunes. I know a bunch of the unreleased stuff is on Spotify, too.
Thanx for the info, I'll check that out. I can't remember where I saw their vid, "Push th` lil daisies", but I heard it on the radio one day about a year ago. I knew it right off the bat, been trying to find more info ever since. I never thought I'd be into this computer thing, but when I was introduced to RU-vid and saw videos of just about every tune I could think of, MAN, I was hooked! I thought WEEN would be one of those teen age bands that were just screwing around making a few videos, I can't believe how far they've come, and how incredibly talented they are. Thanx again for the info, much appreciated.
use the website browntracker. its a ween-run website with all their music including TONS of rare and live shit you can download for free. WITH approval from the band which is awesome
I just got into ween about four days ago. The guy who turned me onto phish mentioned ween to m back in 2007. I have a terrible habit of getting into bands that don't play anymore. I'm obsessed now...
Sometimes is nice when the live act sounds just like the album version. Like they're doing here. Classic Ween. Classic Gene. Classic scene. A tune from the heart.
The live version and the album could not be more different. You would be forgiven for not realizing what a great song it is with all the flanging and detuning on the studio version. I feel like he wasn't ready to be as vulnerable as the song actually is, and tried to hide it behind a veneer of garishness. I think this performance reflects a more mature person, someone who has come to terms with the toxicity of the relationship at this point.
Except it’s about exactly what the lyrics say - an ex that left and left you fucked up to pick up the pieces of yourself, who then returns to try and conquer you again. It’s not particularly full of hidden meaning. But if you want it to be about something else, ok sure. Have at it.
They've played this song a million times. Dener keeps checkin the Gener for signs of emotional distraught and it may be the best display of friendship I've seen on tape. But I'm 3 deep in some high life's and 4 deep into this video. Thanks for the share :)
I believe the dislikes are from people that got the song dedicated to them and are not happy to hear the message,.....only possibility I see to dislike this amazing song.
Every time i listen to this song i get emotional. It reminds me of my ex fiancé (its reminded to me for longer than tje past few weeks but thats as lonh as weve been broken up) her and i have been through more than the average engaged couple wouldve been, and every day i miss her, but she coild never understand my pain. Her pain is through school (college) my pain is a lifetime and she thinks she could understand but she never could. Her family and life are so different from what mine ever was, and i dont blame her, but it of course hurts me when she says she understands. She has her whole family, ive come to the realization recently ill never have thay again. I still love her but it hurts knowing she'll never understand what i feel or where im coming from whether it be the problems with family, mental health, weight or much more. I send her music all the time to show how i feel but she never pays mind. Sorry for trauma dumping but im drunk and sad haha. Just another day in the life of the son of the devil. I love you Rin, youll never understand my pain and thats fine.
