They should definitely redo green. Not like they would, but green definitely needs some emotion and rockin solos. not the shitty solos it has now. But taken aside from the album, this is a very good song. very good version for sure.
No... that's not the point of green.... that's what Madroit was for! All the songs are the same sessions. Green... short concise, fun pop songs. Maladroit was for the rocking songs with solos and such
@Stephen Same Sessions? Most of the Maladroit material was written after greens release, like a couple of months after. Your point still stands, though. To me it feels like Maladroit is a natural progression from green, i'm not saying it's mid, because Maladroit is top 3 for me, but like the album is not bad by any means, but it's not like popping out or anything like Blue, Pinkerton, Make Believe (because of the change of direction)
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who hears the very obvious double entendres in almost every line. "Open the door and let your love come down, water me girl and I can ease the drought"
I used to love Weezer, but you really need to explore how much more there is out there. They've gotten in a rut and you're limiting yourself by thinking they're #1 at anything besides being generic rock factories, almost to the level of Nickelback.
Weezer made 2 amazing albums with Blue and Pinkerton, 2 pretty good albums after that with Green and Maladroit, and then proceeded to churn out redundant crap for the rest of their careers. If you would like to hear some much more original modern rock I would recommend: The Arcade Fire, My Morning Jacket, The Heavy, Andrew Bird, Clock Opera, The Shins, The Family Crest, Fleet Foxes, The Whiskey Holler, The Lumineers or Florence and the Machine. There are so many great bands out there.
