Opening scene. RIVERS, SCOTT, PATRICK, BRIAN in garage. Single guitar note, awkward strumming. RIVERS: Yeah, we jamming! SCOTT: Um, this sounds too much like Don't Stop Believin'. PATRICK: I was playing the theme from Maken-Ki!. BRIAN: I thought we were just doing a soundcheck. (RIVERS looks annoyed, SCOTT concerned. PATRICK'S wristwatch beeps.) PATRICK: Oop, Fitbit went off. Time to shake it against a laundry machine for a couple of minutes and make it think I walked today. RIVERS: But this is the best we've ever done on- SCOTT: Don't Stop Believin'? BRIAN: Soundchecking? PATRICK (offscreen): Maken-Ki theme? (i'm too lazy to finish this finish it for me you guys)
A lot of people hate the Ratitude arc, but they fail to understand how that developed Rivers' character and solidified him as one of anime's most important shonen protagonists.
My favorite episode was Ep 203, "Pulling My Leg". It was so heartwarming how the band stuck together even during River's leg extension surgery! I'm so glad that the recent seasons have been able to recapture the magic of the first 4 seasons!
the best weezer shit post, and theres some great weezer shitposts, i mean, I didnt think anything could beat wrestle with jimmy, but this certainly does
One of the best ongoing anime as of right now. The first season was phenomenal with a great soundtrack and darker tone in the second half. A shame that the second and third seasons were mediocre but season 4 is turning out to be great!
I'm working on the first episode. In it, Weezer turns from a garage band to a worldwide sensation overnight, and Rivers has to figure out their first album.
It's actually the original version of California Kids done by Scott and Rivers (Rivers' side project). Weezer re-did it for the White Album. It's sped up for this video though lol
