Did you ever regret the spare tire delete? I want to do the same thing for my car. It will be a street driven daily, but I want to have a dual exhaust once I finish the swap. The spare makes that almost impossible. I always read about people saying the rear bumper would be like a parachute. How did yours feel? Did you do a diffuser?

I never had a flat while owning the car so it was not problem for me. If I ever got a flat I suppose I’d just tow it. Whether the spare tire well is there or not the back bumper will always have some wind resistance. A diffuser could help but it’s not like you can physically feel any difference. I have a video on installing the exhaust on my e30. Take a look at that, I think there’s some shots that show the undercarriage nicely

Dude, with that added power it might be worth throwin a 50lb bag of sand in the back to even out the weight closer to 50/50! Love this car so much.

I went with an S50 for my swap, but this is still super fucking sick. I love the color too. Mine still has shit clear coat. Looking forward to the next vid.

This may be my dream build. This or the e28, not sure. Mighty Car Mods just dyno'd their LS3E30 with some solid numbers, but you prolly already know that.

How do I go about weighing like this? I live in Ontario, can I just pull into the truck weigh scales or do you know somebody there? I see these on the highway but usually they are a whole inspection station and only open when manned.

There’s several around Calgary that are unmanned and free to use, but might be different in Ontario. You could go to a truck stop and ask a trucker what would be allowed or not with the scales. Another option is to go to the dump and just explain the situation, I’d sure they’d print you a ticket of your axle weights for free
