Weihrauch HW110 Karbine 

A little tip if you want to check the pressure gauge, use a small mirror angled next to the gauge. Gives a perfect view and no need to look down the barrel👍

Hull cartridge company are announcing a new Weihrauch bull pup based around the hw100, of course as soon as I can get one, rest assured I will be reviewing one.

Over the last 35 years I have chased after quality and accuracy within my price range. There has always been something that eventually spoilt , what I thought was the perfect combination for me. 35 years ago it was an HW35. Constantly thinking, will this be a flyer, do I need to tighten up the locking mechanism before each shot was enough to part with it. 25 odd years ago it was a 2nd hand Titan Bearcat, tiny and accurate. Too few shots between charges. Then they went bust and became, briefly Falcon. 20 years ago it was a Pro Sport. The underlever did not stay flush with the stock when closed. Annoying. And heavy. I could not bring myself to ruin the superb stock by fitting a sling. There were lots of other rifles in between these. All of which would eventually reveal a small fault or flaw. Which in the back of my mind was justification to move on to something else. A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be able to buy the HW110K. Even more fortunate to pair it with a Pard 008. Add an FX pump and some Rangemaster Kaisers. My 35 year long quest, for my perfect set up is now over. Thanks in part to this review.

I bought the HW110 .22 and cannot believe it’s accuracy and smoothness of operation, my only previous rifle was an Airsporter bought some 50 years ago! Looking forward to working my way through all your videos, cheers.

As a lifelong HW fan/owner I've owned most of them HW40 to HW100 over the past 25 years ...I've owned a HW100 in my opinion it is a very well built rifle nice wood, nice smooth action, good magazine...BUT and it's a BIG but I've found that the , Air Arms s400 superlite in .177 left it standing when it came to the trigger and accuracy ...

Having looked more into the 110 not the k version I decided I wanted one but looking further into it people have had problems with losing power and having to send thier rifle back that takes weeks and out of warranty parts are not available so your local gun Smith cannot do any work for you unless they use aftermarket parts, in short any issues the gun needs to be sent back to weihrauch. Can anyone who owns a 110 recommend one ? Have you had issues ?

Can anyone remember when you wanted a rifle that short you had to get a bull pup? In 2019 things have come so far in the world of PCP air rifles it still blows my mind.

Be interested to know if the stocks are still OK, plenty of stuff with that coating on them such as lap tops etc become sticky as the stuff 'goes off'

People new to PCP rifles seem to think they need hundreds of shots(I used to) but ten years down the line I find the less shots the rifle has the slower I shoot and in turn the better and more accurate my shot placement is.

I went into my local gun shop this week with every intention of buying a springer - the Weihrauch 97K, as I like the traditional look and feel etc. However in the shop I was totally smitten by the HW 110 Karbine and your review helped me make up my mind. I’ve read quite a few reviews complaining the HW110 suffers from losing power? Any advice guys as I’m deciding whether to purchase one?

I love this gun,in the US there’s no need for a FAC its an air gun.but the safety is louder then the gun it self,still love it,and will never Part with it.

I have a FAC HW100 and its still my absolute favourite airrifle. It's beautiful to look at with its walnut stock, it's accuracy is superb. It's simple to use and I love how the germans made it feel like everything about it makes sense like the magasine lock, the wonderfull trigger, the safety and excactly two magasines before filling again. Without a doubt the very last airrifle in my collection I would get rid of if I had to sell some of them.

Great review Andy , the way you set them out reminds me of Daddy bear , Mommy bear & baby bear ... recon weirauch will do the set at a slightly discounted price ? ..your right about the magazine , by FAR the easiest too load and use .. I have mentioned on another channel , I actually loaded the weirauch mag ( 14 shots .20 ) with my mouth Disclaimer »»»»»»» " CHILDREN , do not try loading a magazine with your mouth , its not only bad for your health , its a s##t idea too boot " .. The HW44 is way way way too expensive , I have no doubt it is excellent ... but then my pp700 artamis pistol at £200 ..is a damn good PCP pistol .. yes it lacks the quality of the HW44 ... BUT you can get " add ons " with the pp700 like a extended stock .. it then makes it super accurate ... ive got an HW100 ..and one day may delve into the HW110 camp .. they look great , perform brilliantly and no doubt have a fantastic build quality ... its just that the FX Dreamline " may " hit our shores in the near future , and the classic laminate one looks the " tits " ... barring that ( and a possible heated exchange on its availability on the FX stand next sunday ) then im.liking the AA ultimate sporter , regulated ... sorry I've droned on , have too go catch up on " sliders " that ive recorded this week .. Love youuuuuuuuuuu

I imagine it wouldnt be too hard to make a mirror attatchment on the end of the tank so it reflects the guage back at you while having the weapon shouldered. One of those dentist mirror tools wpuld ve a good base to start with if you were to fabricate something like that.

It's been on my mind for a while to get a new gun. I've narrowed it down to HW110 Karbine or Daystate Regal HR...…….what say you?

H i Andy, I found out from A.m.bushcraft_n_hunting's channel that there is an inherent problem with the HW 110 dropping power dramatically. Have you heard about it? Would you care to comment or make video on this. Gutted I bought the gun: " To all the HW110 owners, living outside of the UK, looking for a solution ... I talked to the guys from HW100 Tuning, they were really nice guys and told me what the issue is, why the HW110 drops power over time. What they said is: "It’s really down to the hammer spring - it needs the tension adjust to take up the slack. The only way to do that is to have the anti tamper removed so that you can adjust it." So, it basically has to do with the spring of the firing pin. It looses it's tension over time and gets therefore weaker. It can be adjusted by turning a pin with a screwdriver on the back side of the hammer spring unit. But that's not a job for amateurs. Doing so increases the power of the rifle. Most countries have a maximum of power that is allowed, so please take care to not accidentally tune your gun up to illegal dimensions. PCP rifles are very complicated guns, sometimes even more complicated to disassemble and reassemble than a real gun. If you don't feel confident enough doing it yourself, find a gunsmith in your local area and ask him to do so. I also talked to Weihrauch's customer support a few weeks ago, what they basically said is: "We know that there's a discussion about the power loss, but there is no general issue with the gun." What I think Weihrauch's doing when you send your gun to them is, they replace the entire hammer spring unit, so the Problem is gone for the moment, but it is very likely to come back in the future, simply because the new spring is of course very likely to get weaker over time, again. What you should do, if you own a HW110 is: Get a (good) chronograph (AirChrony Mk3), measure the power of your gun frequently."

I've got the HW110 rifle, had it over 12 months, excellent piece of kit, I also have the Walther RM8 Varmint, both in .177, if you haven't got Weihrauch money then take a gander at the RM8, another great accurate rifle at a couple of hundred quid less.

Hi there, mindful its now 2022 and I am just wondering if this is still your favourite (sub12ft/lb) PCP. I am trying to find a PCP and it seems to be a bit of a minefield... Ive watched all your videos and played with a few. The HW110 was amazing as it hits what you point it at and doesnt seem to have any drop off... Just wondering if due to the development of the technology, if there is now something comparable out there around the £500 (or less) mark which is regulated and as accurate, or if i should just get a HW110 second hand.

Need some advice, I am torn between the HW 110 and AA 510. Would like some help here. Thanks.

How many shots do I need? About 100 per hour at the range. I like to get rid of some lead. Ideally I'd like 300 on a fill. Hunting wise, I'd like atleast 200 so I don't have to worry about filling again on a full day.

Hi. You said you owned the rifle version but do you also own the karbine version? And when you said it would be the last gun you would get rid of were you referring to the karbine or rifle? Which of the two do you prefer?

Has anyone had power drop issues?

Bought the grey laminate version in .22 Andy after watching this. Very impressed with it. Quick to shoulder,very accurate,lovely trigger action. I got 70 rounds downrange before any drop off in accuracy( my excuse is I didn't want to put it down) My only gripe is the magazine release catch should be on the left(I'm a righty) buts that's a personal thing. Great rifle to use after not shooting for over 20 years. Keep the reviews rolling mate.Very informative. Cheers

I love my HW110 rifle, I have the full length version and is absolutely superb pellet on pellet. I could have bought the carbine but the similarity between the two is more of the same for me especially as I don't hunt, so my choice of a shorter and lighter more manageable rifle was to buy British and I have just bought myself a BSA CLX as an early Christmas prezzie, a lovely very accurate little rifle and at an excellent price also.

This week I’m off to purchase a Weihrauch HW100 KT Laminate. After watching this I’m wondering what is the difference between the Weihrauch HW100 And the 110?

I own this rifle. It is incredibly accurate. I have found the shot count, to be around 50 full powered shots. It is regulated. I use mine for HFT shooting. It has no trouble knocking over targets 50 yards away. The only thing that lets it down is the squidgy bit on the trigger. 😊

Hi Andy, as new purchaser today of the h110k based on this video, I have an emediate gripe that may or may not go away. Its the 10 shot magazine insertion it's very stiff to put in and remove. is this something that gets better with time or have I got badn, it's the same with both supplied magazine's. Also the dry fire of the 11th shot through forgetfulness is this bad for the gun .

I’m don’t own air rifles or the like but what an easy watch. I’d like to have one because they’re nice objects with the engineering but I can’t give myself a good reason to buy one (not a hunter etc) 😄. I do have a big garden but think plinking would get a bit dull after a while? Prob best I just carry on watching these instead ha

I like it and definitely like the mags don't have the cash :0( having said that I went out with my 6yr old BSA scorpian T10 which I paid £400 6years ago recently put a Nikko Stirling 3x12-50 bargain £100 scope on and went to the range headshotting a pigeon target at 50yard 3mill dot hold over and 2 milldots to the right for wind every time. X10 magnification was zeroed at 30 yard and X6 magnification zero at 10 yard came home very happy being able to hit targets from 10 to 50 yards. I don't think money buys accuracy but knowing your set up does.

I have a 110, which I strongly feel is underpowered.I had it tested at the shop I bought it from but I think they tested it with the sound moderator removed. I therefore think that the moderator robs the rifle of power. I suggest you do a test of various rifles, with and without moderators on to see if there are any differences in power.

How many pellets from each fill on the carbine?

Plastic mount rail with metal mounts not a good idea. There's been a Hw110 on the shelf at my local Rfd for a year, not sold, wonder why.

I’ve just bought a used (hardly at all) hw110k in .22 format and I think it’s great. One thing that I will look at though is under the butt pad, a customer brought his back as I was in the shop, and he had been out in the rain with his the previous weekend, and water had got under the black rubbery finish and started to bubble and lift. Apparently under the butt pad had not been coated and further looking found that the inside hadn’t either, it was just bare wood. I will take the stock off and check mine and if so I’ll paint it. Otherwise I’m very happy with my £500 purchase
