Well balanced and produced video review as always. Good that you mention the downsides to the 110 also despite Crackshot obviously wanting to sell the rifle. I have had two 110's , a full length laminate in .177 and a carbine soft touch in .22. Both are excellent overall and much more accurate than your short test implies. For me they are great with JSB exacts or QYS. The only downside is the tricky mag system compared to the HW100 - but you get used to it within minutes. There is also a known power drop issue after long term use. I had the .177 tuned by "HW100 Tuning" in Notts which removed the anti tamper and replaced hammer spring etc. Now shoots better than when new and is incredibly consistent. Keep up the good work.
I’ve got the same too buddy,my only gripe is that they should have fitted the cartridge lever on the left side of the rifle, would make loading and unloading easier, but I use my .22 110 ,more than I use my crown mk2, in .177
I have one of these in .22 as well and the best pellet I have found to be jsb18.13gr ! Very accurate gun with these - yours in the review is terrible! At £845 second hand you can get a black synthetic version for £799 at countryway gun shop so £845 is to high !
I have just bought this gun .177 calibre. I have found it likes the heavier pellets. QYS Streamlined 8.48gr and JSB Exact Heavy 10.34gr. Pellet on pellet at 35yrds. It really isn’t pellet fussy though, and providing it is half decent, it will shoot anything. It will hit small spinners and flop over targets at 50 yards easily. Because of its carbine size and lightweight construction, it is a great HFT rifle, and no doubt a great pest control rifle as well. 😊
I own both the hw110 and the hw100, both in 177. The hw110 loves Bisley magnums and the hw100 loves JSB heavies. Both guns have been sent to HW100 tuning and are faultless now. Prior to the tune, both lost power.
There’s something wrong with that gun. I have a 177 and it’s not particularly pellet fussy, it’s super accurate. Probably why the previous owner has sold it
I don't think that's a valid point Luke. These are two different guns, what you are seeing is an honest reflection of what this exact gun is like... The truth is, regardless of any similarities, now two guns are the same! What pellets did you test? As long as one can find a pellet that works, everything else does not matter.
My HWs are pellet fussy, head size is very important to get right, only 3 brands tried out of loads on offer, you are lucky if you got one that shoots anything, they are out there I have a few rifles not fussy, most are and I got over 30 👍
shot one of those in 177 and it was a beast so easy to shoot excellent gun . and that was a great demo of how important it is to try a few types of pellet to find which one suites the barrel . great review mate 👍
I have an hw110 in .177 and it’s pellet on pellet at 30 yards with QYS. Its not the same quality as my hw100, but that’s reflected in the price. That said it’s a lot lighter than my HW100 and coupled with a pard008slrf it’s a great hunting rifle..
What a great gun. That group was amazing... Especially as you were yanking the trigger like a rusty shot gun, not bothering to follow though AND rushing for apparently no reason at all. What a gun!!!!
Were you angry with the cocking mechanism? If you’re going for accuracy, slow down! Give the gun time to displace a full charge of air, and seat the pellet nicely.
@@southwestshooters great stuff great vid the pellets always supprise me I use 11.6g, 14.69g, 15.68. as your vid proves and I've seen the same here some group some do'nt I always zero with 14.69g there not bad at 25/50 for me my springer is 10.5 ft lbs
Great review as always Chris, thank you. I’ve had a couple of these and they are as accurate as anything else with the right pellets. The mag loading is a bit fiddly until you get used to it. Can’t tell you how nice it is to have air rifle reviews from someone with a proper speaking voice. Please keep it up.
2:10 only 40-50 shots? You are british, right? This is a sub 12fpe rifle? I get 4 14 shot mags out of my unrestricted HW-100 carbine, a sub 12 fpe version would be good for about 140 shots, with a 410mm barrel, according to weihrauch (and they are rather conservative, with their estimations). Could there be something wrong with it? I've heard that the HW-110 (at least the sub-12fpe version) sometimes has problems. I wouldn't trade my HW-100 for a 110 or a bullpub 100. I hope your gun is fine, enjoy your beautiful masterbeast! At first (when watching older videos) i wasn't impressed by your groups, because even i could do better, but you have improved a lot. For such an underpowered airgun at this distance, this is really something to be proud of.
Another great informative review. Keep them coming. My knowledge base is growing thanks to your efforts. This review really does show the importance of trying different pellets to find what suits an individual barrel. 👍
Great review as always, but I think in the current financial situation in GB as a whole, I think the Air-rifle community, should be buying British, I'm not on a stand at speakers corner preaching BUY BRITISH, but we do make some tasty rifles and accessories. I will be the first to admit that if I fall head over heels for a foreign work of art, that fires pellets, I'm gonna buy it, period. But I think the reviewer's should be pushing British made rifles & accessories, especially since the pound will be on a par with a rupee soon, just a thought.🏴👍🇬🇧 Chris, what scope is that, it makes the gun look like a super-gun!
I had the hw100 t some years ago and i wish i never got rid a fools move however at 57 yrds on a calm day taking my time and using the qys doomed i could fit almost every pellet under a 10 pence coin ive since owned some fx airguns rti's and daystates and nothing has yet come even close
I have the .177 version, It does not like AA Diablo Fields but QYS Streamlined and Domed and JSB Exacts are all less than 20p groups at 25 yards ! I will however be sending it off for a Service as the power level appears to be slightly lower now than it was when new so it may currently be low on 'punch' but I cannot fault the accuracy. Thanks for a great and balanced review, please do one now for the HW44 pistol which uses the same action ! Thanks Rex
THIS BLOKES REVIEWS ARE A WAIST OF TIME HE NEVER GIVES THE WEIGHT OF THE GUN THE LENGTH OF THE GUN HE COMPLAINS THE SHOT COUNT ON THIS GUN IS LOW BUT FORGETS TO STATE ITS THE CARBINE VERSION
Cracking review!! I’m so glad you’ve been able to review one. I’ve had one (with the black soft touch stock) a couple of years now and REALLY enjoyed it. You’re right about the ‘pointability’ - it’s insane! Anyway - good to see you doing you thing!!
This guy telling people to text the number is a crook trying to snare the vunrable or unsuspecting air-gunner into thinking you have won a prize. So he can get as much information as possible to enable him to steal from us! Chris, you must be aware of this guy targeting your viewers, is there any way you can get this piece of shit, barred from your channel?
@@southwestshooters All week long. StupidTube dinged me again for a nother very old video. So I went back through my videos and deleted anything having to do with transhumanism and the unlawful jab and Revelation 13. Kind of weird. It's like they are trying to hide something? I sent a message back to them and said is there any thing they will hit me with so I can get rid of them. No reply, not surprised. Soon as I can, I will upload some videos. Have a great weekend 🙂👍.
@@southwestshooters nah mate the I've had quite a few rifles over the years I've had springers what group better than that. I've had numerous pcp rifles i had the titan back in the 90s that was very accurate. I moved onto the falcon then the air arms s410 k which is probably the best rifle I've had then the hw100 which was fantastic too. I'm currently using a friend's gamo phox and to be honest it's great. It's very very accurate with different pellets.,there's something wrong with that rifle. You may not be the world's greatest shot but with a pcp as you know there's zero recoil that 110 was throwing pellets all over the place
always said it hw guns crap for the money you used a twenty pence piece as a guide to the grouping normally its a five pence not a patch on air arms or bsa as your vids show
@@johnseabrook1703 they are good once they have been tuned by ratworks or some other tuners what i say is for rhe price of the gun you shouldn't have to do this
I have this gun in 1.77 using AA Diablos 8.4 it is seriously accurate achieving full magazine under a5 pence piece with ease and shot count exceeds 110 per fill so I’m not quite sure why Chris states around fourth shots in 2.2
