Hi Keith, nice to see open sights being used and a springer shot properly 👍👍 Ive got a little bit of advice for you to help tighten the groups ..after firing follow through your shots for an extra 2 seconds, you are coming off your cheek weld very quick. Try it and see if it works 😉
Yep, it's easy to spot when watching back on video. Thanks for the input I tried a small ball bearing under the diopter to stop it from moving back on recoil and it's base plate is concave and straight over the top 😆 oh well, on to try something else from creep
@@keith6930 how much scope rail do you have left. You could try a small arrestor block behind the diopter. Worse case scenario you could drill the underside of the mounting base and tap in an arrestor pin? 🤔
That's a really nice HW 35 you've got there! The more of your collection I see, the greener I get! Shot a diopter once years ago but never tried a red dot, food for thought.
I've got some larger splatter burst so hopefully it will be easier when using the red dot. The diopter is also fun but I haven't found a method for secure clamping it yet.
Always wondered about red dots for airgun use. I know the HW35 is a accurate gun. I would give it best all around break barrel in its price range and it's enduring longevity. ScottinUS
I think I need to remove the front hood as it's getting in the sight or maybe just raise the red dot? A bigger target to aim at would also be a huge improvement.
@@keith6930 Yeah, just one screw to take away the front hood. Same with scopes on low magnification, you always see that hood. That Hawke red dot is great but i use it on a PCP pistol for plinking and 10 meters paper target shooting. You can try to adjust it so that the dot's point of aim is just under the bull.
Draw some bigger, concentric circles around the small targets using a thick Sharpie pen, taped to a pair of compasses. you'll be able to see "Middle For Diddle" much easier.
I've got some larger targets to aim at so will be trying again?! The red dot works ok on a springer, the only problem being that the dot can be larger than the target making it a little difficult. But for plinking cans and the likes , just the job!
