Yes, this fits any age rifle, just check spring internal,diameter before ordering

@@tbtairrifletuning1520 Hi Nick! I have just acquired a very tidy 1980 HW35E to join my modest collection. Will it have the leather piston seal? Which kit will provide the best performance please? It's allegedly had a Tinbum kit fitted, but the performance is weak, so it needs a rebuild. I'm thinking of having a go myself. My other HW's are Venom and V-Mach tuned, so I leave them well alone! Any advice you can provide would be very welcome! Thank you :)

probarly longer spring/cylinder but the modelling of the trigger block/piston etc. is exactly the same, just longer piston movement/longer spring.

I have guns that have been running for 5+ years with many of thousands of shots fired that have no sign of wear. In fact, theres almost 3,000 kits sold now and no "wear" has been reported.

honestly ,,, if you have to ask why not ,,,, step away from the tool box . Give your work to some one who has a little engineering skill , and will appreciate a fine machine for what it is ,, a claw hammer is like trying to fix a rolex with an impact driver. some delrin or a flat piece of steel with a section of rubber hose over it , or something off that line , even a piece of ash , beach or oak ,,, same would go for the front end of the cylinder too , two lumps of bare steel , ie a claw hammer and an old screwdriver will not be the kindest on the metal nice edges will vanish , and so will the finish.

I remember some years back that you were rebuilding and couldn't cock the gun .I think Big toe mentioned that you should ensure you fire the trigger mech .Watching this ,I'm guessing that was the problem. You never did say .
