Ive been thinking about building a reduced diameter piston hw80 using no specalist parts just bits off the shelf for a while. I dont know if itll work or not but it seems doable.
The problem with the HW77 pistion is that you have a catch that only works in one plane to latch on the trigger sear/catch. On the original HW80 piston the cocking shoe keeps the piston oriented correctly. That's why the Walther LGV piston is used as it's latch is round and can be used in any orientation.
THIS IS ON HOLD. When Skimming the piston back end , i snagged it and ruined it. untill i get a new hw77 piston its on hold. I WILL ACCEPT DONATIONS !!!
