Oh, he would love it, now if your really lucky, you might even get him to duet with you. Cause he seems like the kinda guy who would do that. Just make sure you have some snacks for Harvey the wonder hamster I've seen him in concert twice, and met him once when he was in pigeon forge TN for the 2nd concert, he had to be the nicest person i've ever met. Had time for every fan that came up, had a look of just being happy to be doing what he is doing.

I love Weird Al. I met him in person and he was so nice and calm after performing like a three or four hour show. He was outside his tour bus taking pictures and signing autographs. One of the coolest moments ever!!

Figgerella07 I had the same experience! July 19th 2008, One heck of a day! I waited out by his bus with a line of others. Got to meet him, get a picture and I ended up catching the red solo cup from "Smell's like Nirvana" and he signed that for me! It was great! Oh, and my niece was also born that evening as well! LOL!

Yes! I met him outside his tour bus after a show in like 1997. Not to brag, but he told me he loves me (I may have said it first). I also met him at a book signing with my kids. He was more rushed there by the bookstore people but he's a great guy :)

Actually, the latest picture on his Twitter feed has him with some facial hair, including a small mustache. Definitely not as big as his old one. But the glasses are a definite 80's Al flashback.

Actually, he still sometimes wears one. He normally shaves it off before starting a tour, but he does wear them sometimes. Some of his most recent ones had a mustache and goatee.

So technically, it's just whoever the original artists are. As someone who does a bit of parodying myself, I've found food does seem to be the easiest thing to change lyrics to for some reason, so this is perfect for Thanksgiving.

@@3TeamsMedia he actually has more than "some" original music. Every album has at least 4 unique songs. However, I disagree with you. He is parodying Weird Al attempting to look and sound like him. So, he's parodying Weird Al, parodying other artists. What Penn normally does is parody original artists. This is different.

I love Weird Al! My cousin & I used to non-stop, obnoxiously sing 🎶“Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark. All the dinosaurs are running wild! Someone let T-Rex out of his pen. When I was a humor writer for Shoebox Cards (A tiny little division of Hallmark) I got to meet Weird Al. I ran into him in Union Station which is a stone's throw from our headquarters. I offered to bring him over to Hallmark to meet the other writers, but he said he needed to get back to his hotel and get ready for his performance that night. I asked if I could walk with him back to his hotel and he said yes. I got to talk to him for about 10 to 15 minutes. The whole time I was with him I was cognizant of the fact that I was in the presence of a musical genius. When we got to his hotel, the last thing he said to me was "I love Shoebox Cards". It's a memory I'll always treasure!

I need to take out just the clip about the turkey taking forever. A few years ago (okay like 10 years ago probably) we had a Friendsgiving, and it was the first time we had a whole turkey instead of turkey legs. And the friend in charge of the turkey didn't realize they sell them frozen. So he went out and bought it the morning of. The turkey was, eventually, delicious. And, being wonderful friends, we continue to remind him of this error to this day.

Since my lovely wife first introduced me to the Holderness Family, I certainly noticed the influence of Weird Al on Penn! And I have to say that IMHO, Penn is doing going a Great Job of continuing the Song Parody genera! I personally see Penn as sort of the new Weird Al! Weird Al is the best. I've seen him in concert a few times, met him at my college (his Alma Mater) when he visited his first "studio", I've even seen his school records when I work-studied for the records office of his college (he was a straight A architecture student! I agree with Penn - Weird Al is in the pantheon of greats. Full stop. Just facts. 😁🤗❤️ Also, you can't mess up a PARODY of Weird Al. Just throw in some wacko lyrics to a catchy pop song and that'll do. No need to try and top his brilliance - he does that enough. Also, Penn Holderness doesn't need to prove or aspire to anything further as he's already exceeded or at the very least equaled the greats himself 50x over in the musical comedy echelon of GOATS.

When Mark Mothersbough of DEVO heard Weird Al's send up/homage called "Dare To Be Stupid," he says he cried. He felt it was perfect. Wierd Al... probably didn't cry over this, but it really is funny and I think Al would appreciate it. You pegged the style and the themes and the sweet humor Al brings to his songs. I feel so grateful I grew up with a mom that cooked everything from scratch and taught us kids how to cook and bake from scratch, too. Grandma taught cooking to middle grades; back then, 1930's, it was called "Normal School".
