Carmen I love your quirky, unusual plants💚anything wonky and out of the ordinary is fir me💚😂So hard to pick a favorite, but old man is up there🙌and the crested lactea🤩
Wow! Lovely cacti collection! That Eve's Needle is stunning. I love the older cacti with sun damage, they look like they just walked in off the desert. Thanks for this wonderful video.
The bench is for mini-Carmen to chill in during rainy days :-) Love this collection! I have two euphoria lactea cristata (one is a grafted coral cactus and another full grown elkhorn) and I think they are show-stoppers hahah!
Hi Carmen, Love you❤Your succulents are gorgeous💚 Rosie is a sweetie pie😍I love your channel About a week ago I brought 5 unpotted succulents from The Succulent box online shop I thought I order potted plants, the order came with soil, mini terra cotta pots and of cause the plants. This is a new plant journey with succulents for me!
You can do it Denise! Just be mindful of watering, especially now that we're headed into Winter. Make sure they get some morning sun and bright indirect light. Good luck!
I love ming things. I have a tiny one! The caterpillar one is super cool too. I've not seen anything like that anywhere but your channel. And that eve's needle! Stunning.
Hi Carmen, I've been away from RU-vid for a short time. Trying to catch up with my favorite youtubers. You are definitely on my list. I really enjoy watching your videos. You are so informative and relaxing . Thanks for sharing !!!😊🤣
I have several Eve's needles, and I love them! I'm moving toward all succulents because I don't have good luck with a lot plants. Thank you for sharing your collection.
I'm just getting into cactus/succulents and I happened to come across this video while researching. Your passion shows through the video and you have such a calming /pleasant demeanor that made me feel completely relaxed ! Thanks for sharing your plants
Enjoy the video as usual...love all of the unique Cacti’s. Not sure if the medusa could of have been in that number but I tell you I were looking for it. Have a blessed week. 💗
Funny you should say that about the Medusa! I had it in my hand when I was picking plants and I set it down, because I thought that I had just shared that one.
I can only hope that we have the kind of weather here that requires an umbrella! Southeastern PA did not have a great summer last year..... It’s always good to hear from you and get new ideas...
I love hearing you talk about your plants. You are able to express your appreciation and love to them with your attention to all their details. You made me think about buying a cactus :)
Hi Carmen! You know I’m always watching but if you talk about cactus, I’m here to cheer as well! 😉☕️☕️ I love everything that you showed. That euphorbia crested is gorgeous and the Eve’s needle is so big! I have the regular type that I’ve been keeping in a small pot for years because I am preventing it from growing so fast. Thanks for showing your “weird” collection, Carmen.
Love, love, love those cacti, Carmen! I have a handful of em too. Whenever I run across one, they always remind me of the inhabitants of the Island of Misfit Toys, just hoping and wishing someone, somewhere will adopt em - and I can relate, you know? - so I take em home with me! 😀
Carmen,,,thank you for sharing your awesome cacti collection and opening my eyes to more species, lol Yours are so healthy. I love eves needles❣️🌵 And we all have a little damage on our bodies, lol. Hi Rosie Girl💕
💚 Not a fan of cacti or succulents but that last one, evils needle for some reason reminds me of a stalagmite without the green colour of course. Weird huh!
@@carmenwhitehead The other day I was plant shopping at Lowe’s. I was excited to see a crested Euphorbia grafted. At closer look and my horror it was cemented in the pot. Why do they sell such an abomination? Needless to say I am still looking.
@@cicelywilson1194 I really wish they would stop doing that! you can take it out by breaking the cement and repotting it. That would actually save the plant.
Re-watching a great video of interesting succulents and thinking of you, Carmen. Miss your wonderful informative videos. Hope you're well. Blessings and love. Sherry 🥰 🙏 💞 🪴
You can find some doozies there! The big crested Eve's Needles I found on the clearance rack for $5! I think that's one of my best buys! Thanks for stopping by Tinamarie!
Hi! Was that Talavera pottery with the old man cactus? It's so colorful.Talavera is beautiful but so expensive. You have a great collection of exotic cacti.
I love the Eve’s needle it looks like a under the sea coral THANKS FOR SHARING. I don’t own any Cactus but I am getting very curious I think I want one to start😊 💚 🌵
Impressive plants. I want that euphorbia. It's probably a slow grower. I've been propagating euphorbia for quite some time and it is not growing as fast as my other succulents. I still like it but it's slooooow.
Hello Carmen. Do you bring any of your cactus inside or provide protection outside if you leave them. I am also in Chandler Az. Thanks. Love your vids ♥️
Not during winter. If we do get a frost warning, I cover my plants with some old bed sheets. I do give them protection in the Summer from the sun with a patio umbrella. You know this past Summer was horrible with the heat, so I did bring in my more sensitive succulents.
Wonderful. May I ask what zone you are in? I just finished my first year in central valley of California. Hotter in Summer and cooler in Winter than I am use to, bay area. I am worried about cactus outside in Winter...
Is there a guide for putting succulents in groups that has the same water requirements. I have lost and replanted so many and yet I keep trying from shape of pots ,to measuring the water . I have the in draing pots then placed back on stand I. Been doing this for a little over a year
Usually if you put the same type of succulents together (i.e. echeverias with echeverias) that will help. But, I still use a moisture meter to make sure that pot is dry and then I water.
