Weird/Creepy Pokédex Entries: Ruby/Sapphire Edition!

I think Yanmega's pokedex entries are some of the creepiest in the series. check out this gem from X: "It prefers to battle by biting apart foes' heads instantly while flying at high speed." WHAT?!

You forgot to mention Zigzagoon who for the life of it *cannot* go in a straight line (Zigzag or go home), just to evolve into a thing that _has_ to. What's also funny is that it's because of its curiosity (leading it to find items as well). To Quote Red and Blue: "A Pokémon with abundant curiosity. Swablu is one of my favorites. It is referencing the "head pet," a Japanese thing where someone is drawn with a tiny animal sitting on their head as means of carrying it around.

So gardevoir "apparently does not feel the pull of gravity" and will also just make a black hole if its trainer is in danger. Straight up just make a black hole. Would fucking suck if you tried to mug somebody only to find out they have a gardevoir.

I have three interesting entries, one or weird, two for creepy. Weird: Magnezone B2W2: Sometimes the magnetism emitted by Magnezone is too strong, making them attract each other so they cannot move. Creepy: Pinsir Sapphire: Pinsir has a pair of massive horns. Protruding from the surface of these horns are thorns. These thorns are driven deeply into the foe's body when the pincer closes, making it tough for the foe to escape. Parasect RB: A host-parasite combo in which the parasite mushroom has taken over the host bug. Prefers damp places.

It's not really a pokedex entry and it's not weird or creepy but it's just hilarious to me. In ORAS I read the description for Disarming voice, it says this. "Letting out a charming cry, the user does emotional damage to opposing Pokémon. This attack never misses." Those poor Pokémon who were hit by this attack will need to go to a therapist after battling.

Lombre reminds me of the Japanese mythological creature Kappa. They look like children/reptiles/turtles and have plates/bowls on their heads that carry water. So Lombre seems to have a reason behind that pokedex entry, but still doesn't look like a human child.

Mandibuzz's Pokédex Entry from Black: "It makes a nest out of the bones it finds. It grabs weakened prey in its talons and hauls it to its nest of bones." 1. Nest of bones. Picture that. All skulls and femurs and… bleh. 2. Weakened prey, not dead, still alive, dragged off to the nest of bones, presumably to be added to said nest of bones. If this doesn't make it into the next "creepy Pokédex entries" video, I'll have to assume this comment just got lost in the shuffle, because I don't see how it couldn't qualify.

hey, here's one that i found kinda strange for jigglypuff (sapphire edition) When this Pokémon sings, it never pauses to breathe. If it is in a battle against an opponent that does not easily fall asleep, Jigglypuff cannot breathe, endangering its life. Damn that is one determined pokemon, also kinda weird since the one in the anime didn't want people to sleep when it sang :P

***** I won't get into theological discussions like most. But, I will correct you on one thing. The Slakoth, Vigoroth, and Slaking evolution lines and their weird Pokedex entries ... actually *MAKE SENSE* ... what you say? How is that possible? Well the Slakoth line is based on the actual Sloth, and believe it or not when is the Sloth most active in its' lifetime. When it is trying to mate to procreate the species which occurs in it's teenage years before reaching full adulthood. So Vigoroth (the middle evolution) being unable to sleep and blood boiling ... actually makes a lot of sense. It is looking to get its' fun in before reaching full adulthood or becoming a Slaking. Oh, yeah ... throughout the Pokedex - how many nice ghost entries and in it?

One of my favorite and funny ones is Dodrio's Sapphire entry: Apparently, "the heads aren't the only parts of the body that Dodrio has three of." (if you know what I mean :P) It has three sets of hearts and lungs as well, so it is capable of running long distances without rest. I would love to see this one mentioned if you do anther one. :)

Not sure if you did Metagross before, but the Ruby Pokedex goes like this. "METAGROSS is the result of two METANG achieving fusion. When hunting, this POKéMON pins the prey to the ground under its massive body. It then eats the helpless victim using the large mouth on its stomach."

I just found it interesting, and I'm sorry if it was said already, but on really old cards of parasect and paras it says that the bug that is shown is not actually the Pokemon but just a host, the mushroom(s) on its back are actually a Pokemon. Paras: "the mushrooms on its back grow by drawing nutrients from the bug host." Parasect: "a host-parasite pair in which the parasite mushroom has taken over the host bug."

Hey, I know this is a video on the Hoenn creepy Pokedex entries, but I was poking around, and the ORAS Pokedex entries for Gourgeist were SO SCARY! I'll put them both here. Omega Ruby: Singing in eerie voices, they wander town streets on the night of the new moon. Anyone who hears their song is cursed. So if it can learn Sing, you could basically curse yourself, your opponent, and the opponent's Pokemon? Not to mention other vocal moves... Alpha Sapphire: It enwraps its prey in its hairlike arms. It sings joyfully as it observes the suffering of its prey. So it catches its prey in its arms and slowly kills them? And enjoys the prey's suffering?! And it SINGS DURING IT! Which means if we put the entries together... Anytime Gourgeist makes anything remotely musical with its voice, it curses whoever hears it. And it sings when it happily watches its prey suffer. And if some poor person were to walk by while that happened, THEY WOULD BE CURSED!!! If you're going to do another Weird/Creepy Pokedex Entries video, put in Gourgeist. It needs to be.

Still cant decide if i should get this, X kinda disappointed me because of the story, difficulty, and after game. I do realize that it was a graphic transition game, but i don't know...

I know we've spoke of Burmy/Wormadam being super gimmicky before, but Wormadam's X/Y entries are pretty weird to me. "X- Its appearance changes depending on where it evolved. The materials on hand become a part of its body. Y- When Burmy evolved, its cloak became a part of this Pokémon's body. The cloak is never shed." Imagine picking up trash off the ground, and then that trash just, molds into your skin and becomes part of you. Ew!
