I was working at a bar one busy Friday night and the owner accidentally locked me in the beer cooler for over 30 minutes. It was the middle of summer, so I was wearing shorts and a tank top with sneakers. That got a bit chilly. Pro tip- if you're ever locked in a bar beer locker, turn off the taps. The seatbelt thing is LAW in New York State. As a cab/taxi/livery driver, I DO NOT have to wear a seatbelt while driving the livery/taxi vehicle. Also, my 500lb stepfather doesn’t need to wear one at all due to his “condition”

fun fact the 3 point seatbelt that is used in most cars today is a Swedish invention, the inventor choosed to keep his patent open so that everyone could benifit from the new much safer belts.

Regarding the law allowing the Taxi drivers to not wear a seatbelt -- this also used to be a case in my country too, although I do not know if it is still the case. It was enacted after there was a high-profile murdering of a taxi driver, and a general rise of crime against them. This was like 90s/2000s, so wild west times in this small eastern european country.

Here in the US, South Carolina there is a law in the books that states that it is criminal to dye the fur of an animal. Best we could tell it came from someone changing the colors of livestock to make it look like a different breed which would be more valuable. While working at a county jail sometimes during the late night boring moments we would browse the actual hard bound law book for all known laws in the state.

Tail docking, at least for GSPs, is definitely an option that has benefits. We had a German Shorthair as a family pet, and his tail wasn't docked. We had to keep a constant eye on his tail, as he would wag it so hard against any surface that it would start to bleed. Infection was our main concern, and since he kept reinjuring it, the end of his tail got a little knob at the end like an ankylosaurus. Dude could not stop hurting himself. We wish we had adopted him as a pup, but he was two when we got him, and the window to dock his tail had long passed.

Sol is on the bottom of my Mexican beer list. I was in Puerto Vallarta, walking lazily around a marina with my father-in-law and brother-in-law, and we decided to stop into each bar/restaurant, drink a beer, and walk out. While they just bought familiar beers, I bought a different Mexican beer in each one. Sol was the worst. The best (not including a couple of decent crafts which aren't available) was Victoria, and it really wasn't close. Victoria is the best mass-produced, mass-distributed, Mexican beer.

In 1999 we were in a mini bus work mate fishing mission to Sydney Australia and in the Heart of Kingss Cross at around midnight, we were at a pedestrian crossing and an Asian couple were crossing in front of us. A group crossed from the other side and attacked the man. While he was defending himself, a huge guy stepped out, picked up the Asian woman by the hand and slammed her down like a bag of potatoes onto the bitumen. A girl ran out and grabbed her handbag and they all scattered. A couple of us jumped up but it was over and they were gone. It all happened in about 15 seconds. The Trinidad story made me remember this. Always a good story teller Simon. And great stories Dave. Cheers Ant

With all the reading Simon does, you'd think he wouldn't need so many out takes throughout the videos. I watched an older one the other day & it was like 4 min of straight Simon struggling to get a sentence out. Was fantastic to watch. Also Simon, if you want us to buy clothes you just have to model them to *show* us just how good they are. Now some laws from Australia, guess if they're real or not. In Queensland, Taxi's are required to carry a hay bale in the trunk. In Western Australia, it's an offense to possess 50kgs of Potatoes. It is illegal to leave your car keys inside an unattended vehicle. You can be fined for leaving your car unlocked in public places (like carparks)

Does anybody else think Dave needs to write a freakin biography? He's has all these outrageous stories, and then Simon's like, "Oh, yeah, don't forget Dave is blind." They could make a movie out of it. It would be one of those absurdist slice-of-life art movies directed by somebody named Cohen, but I would watch it.

Would anyone else watch a video of Simon taste testing beers and giving his opinions? Like, he could make it a series and do beers by country. Just as a once a month video or something where Simon doesnt have to worry about facts and can rant as much as he wants.

For a small island (er, 2) nation, it seems very common for people to personally know someone from Trinidad (and/or Tobago). As a side note, The Simpsons had a mock UN scene in Bart’s classroom, and the twin girls were sitting next to each other, with signs showing one was representing Trinidad, and the other Tobago. Machettes and crime are both very common there.

I would never dock a dogs tail, but I find it very cute that the mutt we adopted has a wiggling little nub when she's excited

They dock "Whiptail" type dog tails because inside buildings the tails can cause damage to both property AND the tail itself, which is incredibly painful when it invariably happens, and an adult dog with a damaged tail will often have balance issues which will negatively impact the poor doggo's lifetime health outlook as they have difficulty running even after the initial injury somewhat heals. IDK if I'm explaining this right now I'm hella baked.

I used to be iin parliament and one of the larger newspapers in my country had a full page front story about me, my baby andmy partner at the time. In my country there are mandatoryy checkining the health of babies. A woman, in there for something entirely else was reading that exact paper and kept checking the front page and looking at us. Eventually I broke the silence by saying> "Yes, that is us, all three of us. She was quite overwhelmed at the coincidence, congratulated me on being a parliamtaraian and then we all had a good laugh about it

Here in Ohio: 1) If you have a Beware of Dog sign on your property and your dog bites a burglar, the burglar can sue you because you're knowingly harboring a dangerous animal. 2) You're not allowed to hunt frogs with a gun. 3) If a deer jumps in front of your vehicle and you hit it, you're given a ticket for failure to maintain control. Added bonus: if you run over a Canadian goose or other migratory game bird you're given an additional fine because they're protected.

Folding laundry is a whole lot more entertaining when watching Simon!
