Today we will be looking at some Weird Places in the Alola region! Alola was first featured in Pokemon Sun and Moon, then in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and the Alola region has a lot more to offer than I originally thought before making this video!

The Ditto five event is so creepy if you think about it. If ditto's have started copying people so well that human's cant notice them easily, it would a case if the invasion of the body snatchers!

The ultra ruins with guzzlord was a heart string pulling part of the later half of the sun moon anime, and the first anime appearance of Zeraora.

There is a cutscene in Ultra with Mohn and Lusamine if you visit the Aether Foundation after Gladion returns from Kanto. Mohn have lost his memory and was talking with Lusamine about making Pokemon happy. Lusamine agrees to take Mohn's offer and help with the Poke Pelago in the future while Gladion was just watching. After Mohn leaves, Gladion asks Lusamine why she didn't try to tell Mohn they are his family instead let him go. Lusamine answers saying Mohn looks happier this way.

One time, I took the potion that was in front of the grave, and then I realised it was probably left there as an offering for the Pokemon who didn't make it, so I ended up reloading my save.

As critical as I am about Sun and Moon, Pokepelago was the best feature in the game and something I actually miss in SwSh: ~The bean island was great for, well, getting beans. This made raising affection much easier. ~The cave was great for finding rare items and much needed evolution stones. ~The sauna was great for raising happiness (though if you leave Pokemon there too long, they actually become unhappy). ~The training ground was great for mass EV training in a game where doing so by battling wasn't anywhere near as efficient as X/Y or ORAS (though at least it made some form of return in Pokejobs). ~The berry farms were superb at being able to finally get a decent number of rare berries and never fear about accidentally using your one and only.

I was not a fan of sun and moon and that could be cause I never got to play it just watch both be played by poketubers but when he said in the video he'd like to see a possible return to Alola I was thinking maybe they set it way in the future with maybe like 2 or 3 more islands and 8 gyms instead of the trials I'd actually be all for that and I don't usually like returning to places in pokemon games

Alola is really underrated Ya it has it's fair share of flaws like the hand holding but the story is just sooo good.

I'm playing through original SM again and absolutely falling it love with it again. After you get past the first island it's all great from there. Totem Battles are some of the best designed fights in the series, and the characters are amazing. I wish we saw more Gladion, and maybe add a skip cutscene button, but otherwise the game is great.

Thank you for mentioning that pristine bedroom in the Shady House; in my first playthrough of Sun, coming across that room was actually rather unnerving, and the game never gave an explanation of why that room was so different from the rest of the house.

Mohn is said to be a "faller", where he has went through an ultrawormhole and lost their memories, as seen in the lusamine and mohn event in usum and seen with anabel is sm

Man, if you could speed through dialogue and cutscenes, Alola would be top notch. Unfortunely, I find it hard to replay through these games, because they take rather long.

The backstory to most of areas in S&M and the Ultra games are brought up in the Sun & Moon anime. I only just finished watching the 3 season a few days ago and I definitely recommend watching for a better understanding of certain areas.

They way that one officer says, "What if there are Ditto that can mimic human behavior? Anyone could be a Ditto and you wouldn't know it." No Pokemon game is complete without something creepy.

Alola is so underrated and overhated. Say what you want about the plot and the games as a whole, but the Alola region by itself, in my opinion at least, is by far Gamefreak's best region. The visuals are amazing and really immersive and a lot of the areas are fun to explore

If it had good replay-ability or skippable cutscenes I would have liked it so much more. Playing ultra sun after sun felt like a long drawn out drag.

1:20 We do get to see guzmas childhood home tho, its on route 2. His parents still live there and we can find a bunch of old trophies in his room. We can also find a bag of golf clubs and examining them mentions that a lot if them are bent and broken, which is a troubling implication. Also the shady house has a wii u which just makes me sad. A console that failed to live up to expectations in a house full of people who've failed to meet their expectations

The weirdest place in the games is the golf course on the second island, which can only be accessed with the walk through walls cheat. I don't understand why they didn't remove the area in the Ultra games is not like they had any plans to use it then or afterwards.

I like how Pokémon games seem to be based on countries nowadays (like usum and sm being based on Hawaii or gen 8 being , what looks like, based on England.)

Well, in My opinion, alola is actually one of the best regions in Pokémon even though it’s linear and alola have so many optional areas to explore and route 1 in alola is so dynamic with branching paths and it’s really huge with ten carat hill and many more areas to explore in route 1, alola also have vast poni canyon which is a dynamic place to explore with branching paths too, and the desert in alola which leads to the ruins of abundance, alola also have so many new areas to explore in the postgame this shows that even though alola is linear, alola stills have so many optional areas to explore. And alola is indeed one of the best regions in Pokémon, if not the best.

The cemetery in Alola is no more or less "real world" than other Pokemon game cemeteries - it's just more western. Since most of the earlier Pokemon locations (Pokemon Tower, Mount Pyre, etc) take place in essentially an alternate Japan, they just look more like Japanese cemeteries, which look very different to most western cemeteries. Alola is an alternate Hawaii, so the game devs probably wanted to make the cemetery look more appropriately western. I thought it'd be an interesting thing to note, since it'd be difficult to realize that if you've never been to a Japanese cemetery before (you could probably do an image search if you're interested). Either way, I've been enjoying these videos and didn't realize that some of these places existed!

USUM has the benefit of being built off the base of an already completed game though. SM were done games, USUM is just the same game with an extra year's worth of work and content.
